the M&S rumour returns... yet again

A rival East Dulwich website reckons East Dulwich police station will be demolished so M&S can move in.

Who keeps spreading these rumours? Are they hoping someone at M&S will be brainwashed into actually doing it?

Don't quite understand the obsession with M&S. Food contains way too much salt and is often easier to cook from fresh. Lazy way to heart disease if you ask me.

IMHO M&S food is very expensive for what it is, and not always as high-quality as they like to make out. Not impressed.

1) Waitrose

2) M&S

3) Sainsbury's

4) Tesco

=6) Morrisons

=6) Asda

7) Co-op

8) Aldi

9) Lidl

10) Netto

Co-op is a difficulat one to place - middle class-friendly ethical stance meets pikey image. Hmm.

I simply would not include M & S in a list like that as it sells a much narrower range of stuff - i.e. almost all M & S own brand - then the chains.

Prefer them due to there 'social partnership' method of running a company myself :)

I agree. My dad used to supply fruit to several supermarkets and M&S' specifications were lower than a lot of the less favoured chains. Still wouln't mind one though - if just for their spicy lentil and tomato soup.

Can someone kindly explain, why Waitrose shopping offer leaflets have been circulating around East Dulwich and posted through our letter boxes? Isn't the nearest store in Beckenham? Or, has Somerfield turned into Waitrose, overnight? Maybe, the powers that be up at Waitrose Head Office have been reading the EDF?
