Andy Murray is an odd looking lad isn't he.

I like the fact he's more firey than Henman ever was, more of a McEnroe. However, I don't like the way he comes across, and not just because he said that thing about England in the last world cup. I just can't really take to him.

That said, I want a different final, so I would like to see him win.

I hope Safin keeps up his current form and wins it, would be nice.

I only saw the last bit after the short rain break, but wow! Both of them were just playing out of their skins... I did think Federer was starting to look tired, but then again, I thought Nedal would never break him after 2 games were he was 2 points up on Federer's serve!

The only shame is that there is no one who could stand with these 2, or frankly anywhere near at the moment!

Bloody well done to Laura Robson, although as Virginia Wade says, I hope the press just leave the girl alone to get one with it! I believe that this win has earnt her a wild card in to next years seniors.

Arf. The Beeb spotters were concentrating on gawky Gavin and the president of Real Madrid FC, but clearly hadn't noticed the Crown Prince and the lovely Letizia were in the house, until Nadal went over at the end of the game. Tsk.

Keef, Australian open final had neither Nadal nor Federer in it. Federer loses in New York, and he's had a Slam-free season.

    • To put this over dramatic and somewhat gleeful post in context, the policy has not "failed at first hurdle." "It is just a temporary decision. The judge granted a pause of at least 14 days so the man, who is not being named for legal reasons and arrived in the UK on a small boat last month, could provide evidence of his claim that he has been a victim of modern day slavery." from BBC website

    • Is  the  decision by the High Court not to  deport an Eritrean man  to France on Wednesday anything other than a massive boost for Farage and reform. Farage has made a commitment for the UK to exit the ECHR which limits the independence of our justice system The UK Government’s “one in, one out” has failed at the first hurdle - just as the Rwanda scheme did under the Tories. To make it even more embarrassing is that the accommodation for deportees   in Rwanda paid for by the UK is now being used by the USA for its deportees. If we are to have Farage thrust upon us as a result of such judicial decisions, then God help us.
