That unknown pic has appeared here before, Macroban probably, think you'll find it's taken from the top of the old fire station looking down at the top of Court Lane where it joins Lordship Lane. Some great pics here Jonsuissy.

Now, if we could only get the shop/freehold owners on Lordship Lane to remove the rendering on their properties and restore the sweeping redbrick terrace from before the First World War; and persuade Southern Rail to reinstate the portico (is that the right word?) at East Dulwich Station ................

The pics I posted are the highest res I have.

I get them by trawling the net occasionally (postcards on Ebay are a good source) and saving anything that I like (slight worry over copyright issues). This is why res is not so good, but I do love the idea of the lovely old Lordship Lane pic on my wall at home.

I've posted the best of what I have, the rest is similar or Dulwich Village but they are not tagged/organised/labelled/named.

My idea over a CD was just to copy them onto a blank CD, let someone come and pick it up, they copy it and pass it on in a similar fashion so one CD is circulating physically.

    • It was a reactionary post and inappropriate when talking about a real case and a real person who was harmed.  London streets are generally pretty safe.  Sadly violent crime happens from time to time, as it always has.
    • Do tell, CPR Dave, what the spiteful jealous stuff is - I'm intrigued.  Agree - Burnham is a top class communicator (polar opposite of Starmer) he'd do a great job of uniting the party. I still think Wes Streeting has the edge, though I'm sure he has more enemies as well.
    • This is a huge part of the problem.   Starmer is only interested in himself, not in what is best for our country.    There's a litany of stuff he's done for spiteful jealous personal reasons which has damaged the nation enormously. Burnham would be a much better leader than of the other dross left behind when Starmer goes. To inflict a worse leader (and PM) upon us for his own selfish reasons would add to the problems and be entirely in keeping with his woeful premiership so far.
    • I heard today there was a burglary in Lacon Road yesterday evening between 20.00 - 22.00,  apparently the owners were home at the time & thieves got away with electrical items along with the owners car!  Wtf!   Anyone heard anything else?
