Be brave MsB!

It took me six months of mostly lurking and occasionally posting only on not very contraversial subjects, before I was brave enough to go to drinks and when I finally did I couldn't think why I hadn't done it sooner.

Everyone is lovely and really not very scary at all.

As a recent newbie, who turned up to the last one... trust me, you'll know them when you see them!!! >:D<

I actually mean that they will be the nice looking bunch laughing raucously :)-D

Labels wouldn't be a half bad idea either... but I think that's more to do with my cr@p inability to remember ONE name, let alone 20 odd peoples real names and online monikers too!

Jaws and I will be there most definitely but prob only for a couple hours.. After a mammoth effort on the turps last week and this will now be my 3rd night in a row on the lash I fear I may crash and burn early.. We will get there about 8.30 for a cheeky few...

See you all tonight!!

:)-D

Double my drink!! ::o ;-) As I peeled myself out of bed this morning I even considered pulling the pin but I will def be there..

See you tonight!

Oh and I dont mind wearing a label..

Yo.

Yes Yo. You crazy forum kids. There will be two very nice new people tentatively coming along tonight. Both female. One is blonde, Canadian and the height of a small hobbit. The other is her lovely new friend (whom I have not met yet).

The chance of turning up with two young ladies is not one I'd usually turn down lightly but I may have to this evening.

Anyway, having been along once I have said you will all make them both feel welcome!

I think so. There are not many in SE22. Despite it's small size, the Canadian Hobbit drinks beer by the pint glass. It also has tiny feet the size of my palm. Good luck.

Looking forward to buying BN5 a congratulatory drink.

But eek! Mr Moos asked me 'will someone make me wear a label' and I breezily said no... Can he be excused please Steve? I'm sure he wouldn't want to be known as 'Mr Moos'to the world of East Dulwich, he's not just my property, you know....

Neh heh heh

Michael, the Hobbit child's big toes are not in the least bit hairy which is unusual I agree. And for breakfast it's eggs. Hard eggs.

The Hobbit is apparently bringing another blonde Hobbit. A welsh one.

Hooray for Hobbits!

I met Ms B today in a very chic black dress so she is now no longer a newbie.

Sean mg and big No5 had the most enormous pizza's after a considerable wait.

AnnaJ had a more ladylike sized pizza.

The forums favourite couple Allycat and Floating onions were mingling and

Moos and Mr (newbie) who is a piece taller were espied across a crowded room.

The Gowlett was jumping.

Bellenden Belle was dressed in a spectacular fuchsia top and

CitizenEd was sporting a rather suspicious (I haven't been working very hard) suntan.

Michael Supanawfulot looked like he had been somewhere very sunny too, looking relaxed and tanned.

    • I’m not a Gail’s fan but there’s no reason a business shouldn’t open on Christmas Day. However, nobody should be compelled to work the day which, given the widespread coverage of Gail’s questionable employment practices, has to be a possibility here.  The only business I ever use on the 25th is maybe a pub and that’s a rarity these days but buses running would be very welcome for visiting etc. But the swings in the park should definitely remain chained up. Are parks even open on Christmas Day?
    • To be honest, pal, it's not good being a fan of a local business and then not go there. One on hand, the barber shop literally next door to Romeo Jones started serving coffee. The Crown and Greyhound and Rocca serve coffee. Redemption Coffee opened up not far away, and then also Megan's next door to that. DVillage was serving coffee (but wasn't very popular), as was Au Ciel (which is). Maybe also Heritage Cheese, I don't know. There's also Flotsam and Jetsam doing coffee and sandwiches at Dulwich Picture Gallery in the other direction. The whole of Dulwich Village serves coffee. And yet on the other hand, there are enough punters to support all good coffee shops. With the exception of Rocca and Megan's (which are both big spaces) and C&G (which does coffee like everything else - slow and with bad service), all these places regularly get queues out the door. Gail's often has big queues and yet very few people crossed the street to Romeo Jones (which was much better)... Half the staff at Gail's are perfectly fine and efficient. The other half are pretty offhand and rude. It's certainly not welcoming or friendly service. But they're certainly hard working, and no doubt raking the money in for Luke Johnson...
    • Well according to a newspaper article, Gail’s is opening 10 shops in London,,, yup Dulwich is named 10/5 I seem to recall with others in London opening at 7 am…!, Guess that is to capture workers coming off all night shift. Offering free mince pies until they run out.. So very sad to hear about Romeo Jones… been a customer since the opening, any idea where Patrick has gone or details… please pm me.    What is going to be in its place…. Will be around in Jan…umm village is changing….
    • interesting the police said "the car was in demand at the moment" what make/model is that?
