Not sure who is responsible for the 'Absolutely Dulwich' freebie magazine but I only hope their sponsors are paying them well. Stylish looking? Asolutely, yes it is. Intelligent? er no it isn't. Elegant? hmmm..it is possibly, but it is filled with absolute dreck. Will 'Absolutely Dulwich' end up in my recycling bin unread? Absolutely.

Absolute Bollox.

As it completed it's journey from my front door mat to the big blue recycling bin in the sky, I noticed as it tumbled to the bottom the words (something like) 'the ethical question' as the lid slammed shut and vaguely in the back of my head the sound 'FFS' echoed.

I think Southwark Life is fine.

I quite often find interesting things in it.

Whereas "Absolutely Dulwich" is, as stated above, a load of boll***s.

I have considered that. However, I am put off by the aesthetic of having such a note on my door. Plus I believe it sets an unfriendly first impression. Not to mention that *some* unsolicited post is quite handy, i.e 'local electrician' etc. First world problems eh?!

You'd employ a local electrician who was so short of word of mouth work that he (or she) had resorted to putting flyers through doors???

Unfair maybe, could be seen as proactive and showing initiative maybe, but ........

:(

Bloody hell! Some pretty scathing remarks there. I hope November's issue arrives in good time for bonefire night.

    • Hello. Did you hear any further on this? Was there anyone at the council who was helpful to speak to? I am in a similar boat.
    • Dear all, Bit of a random ask but in such a supportive and accepting community, I thought I'd see if anyone had time to help 🙂 I'm conducting research for my MSc Psychology dissertation, using a brief anonymous survey to explore romantic and polyamorous relationships and how/if attitudes around this interact with factors such a family history and family making. The survey should take no longer than 10-15 mins and has been approved by the University of Roehampton. I'm hoping to circulate the survey widely enough that the data gathered is representational of the diversity in modern society across various aspects that constitutes personal identity. Some of the questions are of a personal nature and others could be considered a bit 'spicy', but just to reiterate, this is an anonymous survey.
