Can anyone recommend a removal firm?

Yes - local firm called bridges removals. Steve is the man to talk to. Don't have their number to hand but they'll come up if you google them. They moved us and a nu bee of my friends and have always done an excellent and well-priced job. They packed up my kitchen for me too last time. V helpful.

A second recommendation for bridges who moved us in June. Their quote was considerably cheaper than anything else I got. They did a full pack for me which was well worth the money. Boxes and wrapping were included in price. Some firms were charging for these on top.

On the day, they turned up promptly and had the house cleared by midday. I didn't get keys for new place til nearly 3.30pm but if this bothered them they never showed it.

Extremely efficient, friendly and tolerant of two three year olds who were fascinated with their vans.

Cannot recommend highly enough.

Their number is 07956 411450

Good luck

Used Roberts & Denny about 6 months ago and couldn't speak highly enough about them. Quote was reasonable (without being the cheapest) but the 2 guys worked ridiculously hard and were extremely careful with our stuff and also very polite and friendly. Would definitely use them again for our next move.
Have just moved with Bridges - They did the packing and the removals. Totally stress free, cheaper than the other quotes we got as well. Would totally recommend them. Nothing was broken, despite having to move into storage and then back out again!

Bridges also gets a recommendation from us. Moved us from a 2-bed 5th floor flat with a very small lift. Stephen

And his team were cheerful, friendly and efficient without breaking a thing. Much cheaper than other quotes received and would use again if we ever move again!

I used Robert & Dennys after searching for recommendations on here (so thanks to all those who suggested them!) They were extremely helpful and efficient on the day and also very reasonably priced in comparison with three other removal companies. Would absolutley recommend them!

Hi,

I do understand this is an old post but I do feel that I need to spread the word about Superb Moves.

We used superbmoves (or perhaps it's .co.uk) and they were excellent. Our move wasn't easy, with a number of things needing to go into storage and then being delivered on the move day but it all went very smoothly. I'd definitely take a look at them. Highly recommended.

    • Highly recommend Dulwich Eco Gardening.  When he came to quote Saied said he’d give our garden back so we could decide what we do next.  Under two weeks of hard work from Saied and Mo and we have the garden back and can see paving I’d forgotten about. Not only did Saied remove our very overgrown greenery. Nature had taken over. He also took back to our fence line overgrown ivy, apple and pear trees and and dealt with a neighbours bamboo that had invaded our garden.  We are now going to get quotes for what we do next so those quoting will be able to see the space.  Saied has suggested someone to quote and will be coming back when he does in case he has any questions or they can work together.  I thought Saied would be a good choice and he was. Quotes from others didn’t leave me with confidence for the end result. That was never a concern with Saied.
    • Having a BBQ (fingers crossed) in 2 weeks and need a small BBQ for veggie bits and any spare benches or garden tables and chairs to borrow to add to mine. Any going? Thanks in advance...
    • Oh dear, hope you are OK, I've had it three times and it was worse each time, but not a patch on many of those who got it before they vac' role out. Not commenting on the discussion as I got confused many days ago beyond the reminder that Corbyn would not compromise and the harm that could lead to him, the party and regards Brexit pre and post referendum the country.  Starmer goes too far the other way at times.
    • I am  ill in bed with Covid. It's not that I "can't be bothered" to read things. I am feeling crap and don't have the mental  energy at the moment. I am not "brushing stuff aside and pleading ignorance." I am truthfully saying when I don't presently know enough about something to be able to comment. I have always been very careful to try to  differentiate between fact and opinion in both  my posts and other people's, and I am not clear what your point is. And I am certainly not trying to wind anybody up. This is a forum. If you don't want to respond to my posts, that's up to you. I'm not sure why you feel the need to announce it.
