For clarity, let me explain that the assailiant was not a serial attacker so only attacked Noel Gallagher and not any Members of Madness.Notthatwithstanding is this Guy absolutely, completely and utterly insane? Now Noely may not be everyones Cup of Tea but to DELIBERATELY strut past that vile creature, his brother Liam to get to Noely??

Liberties have been taken, for sure here.:(6)(6)

Who cares about the Gallaghers, although the assailant should have viciously stabbed Liam in the face because he's the biggest prick out of the pair. Didn't one of them have their teeth kicked in a few years back in Germany or somewhere in Europe after upseting their audience that included some members of the Mafia, or am I wrong?

....O.K..Edited "highlights".

Noel Gallagher got clumped on stage.

Attacker strolled PAST Liam to attack Noel.

Very strange that someone would not chin Liam,if he was going to thump someone.

Noel is a man of fine wit and he and his younger sibling give great interviews (the best along with Johnny Rotten and Morrisey), musically the group peaked with their first two LPs but still do fine live shows. Liam's got a great voice and I'm horrified at BBW's suggestion he (or anyone else) should be stabbed in the face for being a 'prick'.

Surely there's a little prick in all of us at times BBW and if it resulted in facial lacerations then many of us would be carrying the soubriquet 'Tramlines'.

Naturally one must never hever hever make assumptions but to gadge an idea how long this length of forgiveness is likely to be i.e. Whether it is going to be 5 minutes or 5 years, can I ask:Are you a Male or Female s'il vous plait?:))

I did not get beyond this point!

Very,very good.Satire at its finest.:)-D

Of course some of you will or won't remember when a fan tried to do the same to Keith Richards back in the 80s and he was rewarded with Keith smashing his guitar into his face and then he strapped it back on and carried on playing without missing a beat. Now that is f**king cool.

Let's face it the guy could have been a real nutter and could have had a knive or a gun and besides he's on his stage and you've got to defend your territory.

You have in fact got to "chop the mother down"

I remember that. Keef is Cool.

We saw Liam at the airport with Paty Kensit, many years ago, and he was really nice to all the people, including my then 11 year old daughter, who asked, and got, his autograph. He was a bit thrilled with all the attention but who can blame him. I kept the autograph in case he gets pushed off the stage and it's a bit final.

    • Post much better this Xmas.  Sue posted about whether they send Xmas cards; how good the post is,  is relevant.  Think I will continue to stay off Instagram!
    • These have reduced over the years, are "perfect" lives Round Robins being replaced by "perfect" lives Instagram posts where we see all year round how people portray their perfect lives ?    The point of this thread is that for the last few years, due to issues at the mail offices, we had delays to post over Christmas. Not really been flagged as an issue this year but I am still betting on the odd card, posted well before Christmas, arriving late January.
    • Two subjects here.  Xmas cards,  We receive and send less of them.  One reason is that the cost of postage - although interestingly not as much as I thought say compared to 10 years ago (a little more than inflation).  Fun fact when inflation was double digits in the 70s cost of postage almost doubled in one year.  Postage is not a good indication of general inflation fluctuating a fair bit.  The huge rise in international postage that for a 20g Christmas card to Europe (no longer a 20g price, now have to do up to 100g), or a cheapskate 10g card to the 'States (again have to go up to the 100g price) , both around a quid in 2015, and now has more than doubled in real terms.  Cards exchanged with the US last year were arriving in the New Year.  Funnily enough they came much quicker this year.  So all my cards abroad were by email this year. The other reason we send less cards is that it was once a good opportunity to keep in touch with news.  I still personalise many cards with a news and for some a letter, and am a bit grumpy when I get a single line back,  Or worse a round robin about their perfect lives and families.  But most of us now communicate I expect primarily by WhatApp, email, FB etc.  No need for lightweight airmail envelope and paper in one.    The other subject is the mail as a whole. Privitisation appears to have done it no favours and the opening up of competition with restrictions on competing for parcel post with the new entrants.  Clearly unless you do special delivery there is a good chance that first class will not be delivered in a day as was expected in the past.   Should we have kept a public owned service subsidised by the tax payer?  You could also question how much lead on innovation was lost following the hiving off of the national telecommunications and mail network.
    • Why have I got a feeling there was also a connection with the beehive in Brixton on that road next to the gym
