I suspect he's had no fan mail for 6 months, so made this vid in an attempt to stimulate a rush. I'm sure he'll offer lots more peace and love in reversing his decision soon enough!

Knob.

Do have to take his side with all the scousers having a go at him for saying he doesn't miss anything about Liverpool. Why would he? He has nice homes that he has chosen, so what if they're not in the town he's from! Liverpool is different enough from when I lived there, and I only left in 2001. It must be like a totally different city from the one he grew up in!

Does annoy me that Liverpool feel they have some sort of ownership over The Beatles just because they were born there!

I hate the Beatles so I don't care.

Was it the poignant Beauty of "She's Leaving Home" or the haunting "Elenore Rigby" the enchanting "If I Fell" or the nostalgic genius of "In My Life" that you didn't like or was it any of their other 300 great tunes Cass?:))

An' Big Respeck 'pon you. Irie.

I think, though that what's been boiling Ringo's piss is the number of people who request autographs, particularly by post just to sell them on.

You know, those framed photos with the autograph on a seperate piece of paper that you can get.

I think that's what's got his goat.

What the Octopus's Garden would he need a publicist for, Moos?

He is, after all a Beatle.

Indeed a pop star's dog might require their own publicist. They'd both probably enjoy the experience.

But we are after all not talking about your 'pop star' here.

He is after all, a Beatle.

Do you think he looks a bit like Noel Gallagher with a beard? Or would that be the other way round? I saw him play live once and he's a very good drummer indeed, kept up with Jim Capaldi which is something. His son's an amazing drummer. Anyway who cares about his autograph surely it's his music and his part in the whole Beatles thing that matters. Maybe he's taking the peace rather than telling us to peace off

You speak in riddles, Moos. Yet you interest me strangely.

Perhaps you could get the other cat back, if you go outside and yell OH!

And if you've had the taste to name your cat Submarine, then it'll be back in no time.

I've just taken the time to look over what I've just written. There's the delete button, of course. But no.

I stand before the world, in my shame.

If only I could get the tipping point of the 66cl bottle of Stella Artois right, I'd spare everyone a lot of embarrassment.

I'm only thankful that Mother HonaloochieB doesn't have acces to a computer.

    • Kwik Fit buggered up an A/C leak diagnosis for me (saying there wasn't one, when there was) and sold a regas. The vehicle had to be taken to an A/C specialist for condensor replacement and a further regas. Not impressed.
    • Yes, these are all good points. I agree with you, that division has led us down dangerous paths in the past. And I deplore any kind of racism (as I think you probably know).  But I feel that a lot of the current wave of xenophobia we're witnessing is actually more about a general malaise and discontent. I know non-white people around here who are surprisingly vocal about immigrants - legal or otherwise. I think this feeling transcends skin colour for a lot of people and isn't as simple as, say, the Jew hatred of the 1930s or the Irish and Black racism that we saw laterally. I think people feel ignored and looked down upon.  What you don't realise, Sephiroth, is that I actually agree with a lot of what you're saying. I just think that looking down on people because of their voting history and opinions is self-defeating. And that's where Labour's getting it wrong and Reform is reaping the rewards.
    • @Sephiroth you made some interesting points on the economy, on the Lammy thread. Thought it worth broadening the discussion. Reeves (irrespective of her financial competence) clearly was too downbeat on things when Labour came into power. But could there have been more honesty on the liklihood of taxes going up (which they have done, and will do in any case due to the freezing of personal allowances).  It may have been a silly commitment not to do this, but were you damned if you do and damned if you don't?
    • I'd quit this thread, let those who just want to slag Labour off have their own thread.  Your views on the economy are worth debating.  I'm just stunned how there wasn't this level of noise with the last government.  I could try to get some dirt on Badenoch but she is pointless  Whilst I am not a fan of the Daily Mirror at least there is some respite from Labour bashing. https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/politics/grenfell-hillsborough-families-make-powerful-36175862 https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/politics/nigel-farage-facing-parliamentary-investigation-36188612
