I hope he does, he's vile.

Well done to James Barber - certainly puts in the legwork on this forum and I wouldn't be surprised if that engagement was partly responsible for his victory, especially in such anti-LD times.

Common sense prevailed then. At least in Southwark. Hopefully it will soon happen everywhere else.

ETA: Really hope that Vanessa & the AWP have done well in the Euro elections.

Yes, the common sense alternative for people who don't want the shower running the country running the council as well.

I'm sorry for Robin - she's been as good a local representative on the council as any other, but suffered from the national party effect. I long for the day when all local councillors are independents (as they are in many places in Europe), but I'm not holding my breath.

Yes, that's right, Southwark Council, the common sense choice (for middle class liberals) fantastic custodians of our wellfare!

Council tax arrears @ 23/02/2014 - Almost 8 mil ? [?7,960582.95p]

Rent arrears @ January this year ? just over ?16 million.

Can't wait for the GE!

Come along and get your bicycles marked and registered by the police to deter thieves. Or even to just stop by and have a chat to us about your area.
    • Another happy customer. Would recommend Lucasz. Good quality work and reasonable rate

    • Walking around, it looks to me as if weedkiller has been used, as some weeds have been left in situ but are dead. However, most of the weeds which have been (apparently)  killed in this way are hardly likely to lift pavements, being things like Shepherd's Purse. They might seed around, but I'm not sure what harm that does. I would like to know exactly what is the remit of the council workers who are tasked with dealing with weeds in pavements (and in tree pits?). Things like dandelions which have taproots (but are hard to remove in one piece)  have been left in the pavement,  whereas things like Toadflax (which don't, and are easy to just pull out) have been removed.
