Goodness, what a smug little clique this section can be. Not a wonder no one bothers with the Lounge any more. The other sections seem to be doing as well as ever so it's not that the forum has had its day. Maybe Admin should rename this 'the section for people who joined before 2009 and those who've done stint on Admin get preferential voting rights'.

So come up with something interesting.

I started this in jest, but seriously I wish someone would start a juicy thread. They spring from nowhere (a'la fois gras).

    • The current crimes from what I hear are phone theft from the person, car theft and tradesman vehicle/tools theft. Plus of course the overall increase in stabbings and shootings across London which are becoming normalised.
    • Whilst clearly 'a crime', I don't think this necessarily sits with the other things you have described. A tragic and awful incident certainly, and dreadfully traumatic to the victim, but not part of any 'crime wave' as such, I suspect. It's the sort of thing which, sadly, can happen anywhere (I, again, suspect).
    • Does anybody have a folding pasting table they no longer need? All the ones I've found online seem to have terrible reviews, mainly due to being unstable,  or else coming apart! I don't mind if it's grubby, I just want it to gesso wallpaper lining paper, for art not walls!
    • Massive thank you to Stephen. Painted our whole house - and got lots of other bits sorted, too. Nothing was too much trouble, everything looks great and all came in on quote. Fantastic. Liverpool fan, but don’t hold that against him. Will 100% use again.
