You answered your own question and rather nattily too

So the Half Moon is closed, the Grove Tavern is closed and now I hear the Dog is to shut, although hopefully not for ever. Of the big Dulwich boozers only the terrible ones - the Alleyn's Head and the Fox on the Hill - survive.

Is it time to petition Dulwich Estates?

You missed Bossman

Latest news I heard was more positive about the pub reopening, but Dulwich Estates are pressing ahead with the plan to convert the top floors to flats. That could, of course, spell the end of live music there...

Genius.

Maybe when I die, as in The Late Dulwich Raider?

Then I can put something on the tombstone that's too dull to read.

Ha, nice read

I acquired a teak side board recently, did Half Life loose one in Deptford recently ?

"Edward Alleyn?s original vision for his Dulwich foundation was to educate the poor and assist those in need, not to provide handouts to the privileged at the expense of the community at large. If he was alive today he?d turn in his grave"

I suggest:

The Late Dulwich Raider

It all ended too soon (unlike his articles).

;)

Thank you for your comments about the Lordship Lane piece on Deserter. I quite like you all.

FYI, Half-life has the sideboard. He does not post on the EDF - he has only ever bought one computer (an Amiga 4000T) and it's still in its box.

I've got a new piece about getting wellied on the water:

    • Well actually it doesn't.  I've just entered various post codes, some in SE15 and the same blue shaded area as shown in my first post still appears.  Although it is true that additional blue shaded areas can be viewed. I think Penguin is probably correct in that it indicates an area of low pressure.  Might have saved us all time had I just PM'd penguin straight away.  They generally have a good insight into most things .

    • I cannot speak highly enough about my experience with Yousef and his team for my recent house move in East Dulwich. Downsizing and relocating  my stuff from a house to a flat was made a calm and pleasant experience. The move included large and heavy items of furniture, taking items apart and reassembling in the new place, as well as loads of boxes. Nothing was too much trouble. I can thoroughly recommend this service, you will not be disappointed!
    • If you have a leak, and are not able to use the interactive map then you can register for text message updates or you can call the free number for updates the blue shaded area depends on which postcode you enter when you search
