Don't go SP, just have footy chat with everyone else, and don't read Matt's posts when you see his name at the top of them.

As for Atila, you know (and I guess he'd admit) he gets very wound up, very easily, so why not just ignore him too, otherwise you say something back, he gets wound up, and then a row starts.

It's all playground nonsense anyway. Man U are top of the pile at the moment, can't you just be pleased about that, and take insults as envy?

Liverpool won't get relegated I'm afraid, and think of your poor father-in-law!

What the hell has happened to the old football fixtures of Christmas? Gone are the days of playing 4 times over the festive period - now we have been left with just 2 games on 26th & 28th December. The PL games either side of this are 19th Dec and 9th Jan. Not forgetting that the Easter programme has long been discarded. The traditions of football have been sacrificed for midweek winter fixtures in mid December and early February, its just wrong, plain old wrong!

I was once told that if you drank lots of alcohol you wouldn't suffer from PMT, works for me. :)-D

In effect only one game has been scrapped over Christmas as we have the FAC on 2 January. Even with 2 games in 3 days there'll be clubs who moan about playing games so close together...As for midweek games, two before Christmas and two after doesn't seem so bad. The ones after Christmas are in London which is a bonus.

Keef, as far as I'm concerned it's all banter, and yes I'm as guilty as anyone else of winding peoiple up , and not just SP. I'm afraid Man Ure bring out the worst in me and I can't help myself, I know I should try to get over my hatred of them but I can't, and I genuinely do despise them more than Spurs and only marginally less than Chavski. I've had to put up with some shit in the past on this forum, but what you gonna do eh? Oh well, c'est la vie.

I agree with Atila it's just gentle banter - if people are taking it as a personal assault on their own character then maybe we should tone it down a little and focus on boring stuff (like I guess they do on the cricket thread) such as what is ideal air pressure in a football... zzzzzzzzzz

It's a shame that not everyone could turn up for the End of Season Football Focus drinks as that may have thawed some of the unnecessary ice.

Looks like a photo shoot of the new Spanish training gear

Apparently Nando has a new nickname... Bruno

I noticed, in another attempt to ostracise me, you held the end of season drinks while I was on holiday! ;)

I also don't think that calling a player a 'snarling, egotistical bastard' then going on to suggest that the reason he was like that was because he played for my club is 'gentle banter'. I'd hate to read what you'd say if you weren't being gentle.

Well it was the last game of the season.. otherwise we'd have waited.. besides Mick Mac turned up to represent Manchester United, although after a few drinks I think he was ready to sing YNWA!

I suppose we could make it another end of season drinks for the Lions game in EDT on Saturday afternoon as it appears there aren't many rugby fans in East Dulwich - see http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?20,292707 to post interest

    • In 2016 London City Airport began using concentrated flight paths. When there's a predominantly westerly wind, incoming aircraft approach from East London (north of the River. When there's a predominantly Easterly wind, incoming aircraft approach the airport from the West: circling through Forest Hill, Dulwich, Vauxhall, Tower Hamlets, Docklands. This latter flight path affects many of us in South East London. https://www.london.gov.uk/who-we-are/what-london-assembly-does/questions-mayor/find-an-answer/london-city-airport-concentrated-flight-paths The planes going into City are often below 2,000 ft, so very noisy. Sometimes we have incoming Heathrow at the same time, flying higher. The early flights that I hear e.g. 04:30 are incoming to Heathrow. They are scheduled to land at 05:30 but are 'early'. Apparently the government allows a percentage of flights to arrive early and late (but these are now established as regular occurrences, informally part of the schedule). IMHO Londoners are getting very poor political representation on this issue. Incredible that if you want to complain about aircraft noise, you're supposed to contact the airport concerned! Preposterous and designed solely in favour of aviation expansion.
    • Yet another recommendation for Jafar. Such a nice guy, really reliable and fair. He fixed a problem with our boiler and then incredibly kindly made two more visits to replace a different part at no extra cost.
    • I didn't have any problems with plane noise until city airport started flying planes to and from about 5-8 minutes apart from 5.30 am or  6 am,  and even with ear plugs and double glazing I am woken at about 6 well before I usually would wake  up. I have lived here since 1986 and it is relatively recently that the planes have been flying far too low over East dulwich. I very much doubt that they are headinbg to Heathrow or from Heathrow. As the crow flies we are much , MUCH closer to City Airport than Heathrow or Gatwick. I even saw one flying so low you could see all the windows, when I was in Peckham Rye Park.
