I've never shaken off my childhood support for Celtic and am really looking forward to this tie

But having comfortably beaten Rangers recently, and with Celtic's defence lacking in pace, realistically it would be a massive shock if Arsenal didn't go through, If it wasn't "Celtic" but an equivelantly stocked team from Greece, everyone would be saying Arsenal got an easy tie

I suspect Arsenal will run Celtic off the park in Glasgow and rattle up a scoreline so it's done and dusted before returning back to London. I just don't think Celtic have any good players - I doubt a single one of them could hold down a place at a top club in the Premiership.. and if they could what are they doing playing in the SPL! It's a shame really but only hope I see for Celtic is to grow the grass long and waterlog the pitch the night before the game! Nevertheless I shall be cheering on the Scots.

In the extremely unlikely event that we lose, I'll give you a solemn oath that I'll offer no excuses.

Sad deluded couple, you deserve each other. And I think Matthew has explained the gold star thing to you. Let's have the banter after we've got rid of you as being surplus to requirements in the Champs League and then we'll see if you're still as playful and comic, that's if you ever were in the first place.

Hello BBW

No real stories I'm afraid - just a good time - a real good break with the kids. I'm afraid, we are into simple holidays in France, self catering/camping combinations, which the kids love. Does leave you drained though, lots of driving etc, putting up tents packing unpacking. KIds don't know there born these days.

Having said that highlights of the holiday were all outside France:

1) Rip van Winkle winning Sussex Stakes :)

2) Celtic beating Dynamo Moscow :)-D

3) Celtic pulling a minnow in the Ch league play off draw B)

4) Matt123 posting about noone on the Celtic team getting a game for a premiership club - I've just seen that one and its mothers milk to me to see a post like that - let me at him. (!)

I suspect Arsenal will run Celtic off the park in Glasgow and rattle up a scoreline so it's done and dusted before returning back to London. What was the Taff boy drinking? I always thought him an intelligent lad until now.

Eh? Celtic and Aston Villa wear 1 star, Forest wear 2 stars - I'm confused now...

{Matt - I have used the "Report this message" button to report this messeage to Admin on the basis that it is complete rubbish.} ;-)

MATT - NOONE "RUNS CELTIC OFF THE PARK" AT PARADISE......

CELTIC HAVE WON 25 OF 35 HOME EUROPEAN MATCHES SINCE 2001 - LOSING ONLY TWICE.

A tribute to Celtics home record in the Champions League

The thought that Arsenal will run Celtic off he park where the following have all lost is laughable:

Losers are Parkhead since 2001:

Lyon, Juventus, Porto, Benfica, Barcelona, Manchester United, Stuttgart, Valencia, AC Milan. (oh and Liverpool at Anfield).

And all this with a team of players that could not get a game in the premiership - suggest you make use of the edit button Matt, your credibility is at stake....

Sean - I like to think every Irishman has a soft spot for Celtic. I think Celtic have a fair few good players though and I hope this comes to everyone's attention soon. The defence is stronger than last year, but I agree its a bit weak but Arsenal will get a bit of a surprise with the strength and pace elsewhere.

Arshavin is the most talented player of the 2 teams, and I would be worried about him (lots).

A like a man who keeps his promise...

Atletico Madrid striker Diego Forlan has promised to score against Liverpool to night-and dedicate the goal to his former club Manchester United.

"I know the special rivalry between Man United and Liverpool and how much it would mean to United supporters, who have always been very good to me," said Forlan. "I would love to score against Liverpool...

"I am sure it would also please people at Old Trafford because of the relationship between the clubs."

Cue Diego firing a corker into the Kop goal last night, brought back all those happy memories of Dozey Dudek...

Scorchio...

Nope, only the elite may display their stars, i.e. Real Madrid, AC Milan, Liverpool, Ajax of Amsterdam and Bayern Munich

EDIT: Sorry it's not actually stars, it's what UEFA call a badge of honour - but same rules apply.

times) may wear a 'badge of honour'"

    • In just two days, we’ll take to the streets to show Donald Trump that he and his politics are not welcome here. On Saturday the global far-right mobilised their biggest protest for decades. We want to show that supporters of Trump and fascism are not the majority – far from it. Here are all the details you need for the day. The march assembles at Portland Place, near the BBC, at 2pm (see assembly blocs below). After speeches here, the march will move off at 3pm. It will then march down Regent St, through Piccadilly Circus, on Whitehall (past Downing St) to our rally at Parliament Square. The rally at Parliament Square will begin around 5pm and finish at 7pm. If you can’t make it to the march, feel free to join the rally after work! (Nearest tube: Westminster). The short, accessible version of the route assembles at the top of Whitehall (SW1A 2DY) at 4.30pm to march to Parliament Square for 5pm. You may also prefer to just join the rally directly at Parliament Square.  Join a bloc – and make friends! Our movement is diverse, and various elements are forming ‘blocs’ on the march to emphasise their visual presence collectively. You can join these blocs or form up behind them:   A) Palestine, near BBC, W1A 1AA B) Climate, W1B 1NS C) Amnesty, around junction with New Cavendish St, W1B 1LU D) Migrants' rights, W1B 1LS E) Jewish bloc, W1B 1QQ F) Ukraine, around junction with Weymouth St, W1B 1JL G) Europe, W1B 1NR More stewards still needed Stewards are a crucial part of keeping the protest safe for everyone to participate. They are a visible point of contact for attendees who may need directions or other assistance. Experience of stewarding is useful but it's also fine if you haven't done it before. You will be issued with a hi-vis jacket and briefed in advance and on the day.  Sign up to be a steward Staying comfortable on the day The demonstration lasts for several hours, so we suggest you should:     Bring a bottle of water and snacks (and eat beforehand)     Charge your phone fully the night before, and bring a portable charger if you can     Go to the loo beforehand (really!)     Buddy up with someone, or stick together as a group – it can be hard to find people easily if people wander off     Coming alone? Protests can be a great place to meet like-minded people. If you feel unsure, you can always talk to a steward     Consider the weather: bring a waterproof jacket or wear suncream where necessary     Wear comfortable clothes and footwear, and use our accessible route if you need to (see above) Bring your friends and family on Wednesday. Let’s make this massive! In solidarity, Stop Trump Coalition
