PGC

Make your own, it's a thing of joy

The River Cottage (smoking and curing) book has a simple fridge method

I'm so smitten, im buying a proper slicer an' all that

I've also got a Bacon Cookbook, which tells you how to make 'Buffins' (bacon muffins)

Fekkin joy of joy

Oh GOD RPC, I just looked at that

I'm ordering one, feel free to ask to borrow in future

(my impulse buying is getting slightly out of hand, yesterday I ordered a Deep Fried Tukey making thing from the U.S.A)

Otherwise known as one of America's favourite ways to set fire to your house, garden and probably yourself.

I'm going to go against the grain here and say I am thoroughly sick of bacon.

It doesn't cure (ha) everything.

I don't like it in: a bloody mary, a burger, macaroni cheese, cheese on toast, anything with kale.

Much as I enjoy reading fabulous food blogger, Niamh Shields of Eat Like a Girl fame, I switched off during Project Bacon. Bacon jam was the buzzword on twitter a few years ago, drove me nuts.

Cup of Assam or strong builders and a good bacon sandwich has its place though. I miss Homemade on Barry Road for that.

PS: Don't start me on bastard "candied bacon" either. *grumps off*

You deffo need 'Buffins'

But then 'Buffins' are the future

Unlike BitCoins

Numbers, I'm with you on bacon in burgers.

And bacon in Bloody Marys? What sort of total cunt has bacon in a bloody Mary?

Personally a bloody mary would make me hurl anyway, but if I saw someone having one with bacon I really would want to go all Goodfallas on them and start bashing their head against the bar.

And tomatoes, chillies, corn, avocadoes, peppers, strawberries, peanuts, pineapples, vanilla...

OK, avocados, tomatoes and corn, I grant you. And peppers and strawberries, yes. And maybe vanilla. But what else has America ever done for us food-wise?

Not the turkey! At least it's just once a year.

    • Poor dog….how bloody stupid of owners who clearly have zero recall of their dog. Not good recall, don’t  let your dog off  the lead or have it on a long line. Why did you not hop over fence and get into water to try and rescue dog? Dies in cold water. Totally disgusted but then not surprised by people … No different from people walking their dogs on cliff paths when know might fall off…an  advised to keep on the lead.. do they pay attention….No… what is wrong with people? Don’t they have any common sense? And why wait for fire department? Not exactly strong currents like sea… RIP woofer… no sympathy for owners whatsoever…

    • Andy came recommended by another Tradesman who also did a job for us.  And I am so happy for the recommendation.    Andy is very knowledgeable and professional in his approach to work. The cost of the job was very reasonable. He’s installed temporary ceiling coverage following a leak until the ceiling can be repaired.   Highly recommend Andy and will be using again in very near future! 👍   Thanks Andy!  Andy 07564 194 363.
    • Another recommendation for Greg. Echoing pretty much everything everyone else has said. Friendly communication, good work, and clear pricing. Will be sure to use him again for any future plumbing needs! Thanks Greg!
