Asset
Didn't say it was the same. I'm just wondering what Domitianus is trying to achieve other than getting everyone to throw up their hands in horror. Some people are insensitive and some aren't.Dom mentioned it to the woman, why bleat about it here? *Bob*
Remember that Dom only remembered distinctly mentioning something to the woman after distinctly not remembering to mention it in the OP. bignumber5
Quote ......mmmm that can happen to a sleep deprived individual, brains rolling around in the head like two fragile marbles, and the sounnd of a crying baby ringing in your ears even when the things alseep.......your lucky she did not drop the nappy in your handbag !Either some quality piss-taking or proving my earlier point, I lack the subtlety radar needed to distinguish. To the critics above: seriously, what's wrong with using the forum for this kind of stuff? Never had one of those moments? A moment where something happens and you think you're entitled to be outraged, but the other party seems totally disinterested, so you start a thread to test the waters and maybe get some reassurance that you weren't being unreasonable.I think it's exactly what the forum is for, if that's what you need it to be for at that moment: all things to all men an' that. TillieTrotter
I think you are well within your rights to have a little moan on here and anywhere else you fancy BN5. Hopefully, if this lady or one of her friends spots this thread, she may think about doing it again. Therefore you've done her a favour in the long run. honk
Unless there is a massive sign on the side of the building reading 'Wacky Warehouse', you have no business taking children anywhere where there may be other people. SteveT
I think it is a very useful sounding board. When some thing has got up your nose it is good to here other's views, just to ensure you are not becoming cranky. Lizziedjango
I have no problem with this at all. So the woman changed a baby's nappy. And?I agree with *Bob*, if you had a problem yoy should have said something to the woman at the time. I much prefer people who are upfront and confrontational.Honestly, people are so anal in this country. :) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/5258-nappy-changing-in-local-eatery-lounged/page/3/#findComment-168359 Share on other sites

jrthomas_uk
I get annoyed with myself for reading drivel like this. What's wrong with me!?Honestly, 3 pages devoted to a woman changing a nappy in a bar - did you think about calling the police?I thought words like "vile", "horrific", "abhorent" were reserved for things like, I dunno, genocide maybe?Get a life people. Lizziedjango
Quite agree jrthomas_uk. Can't believe the brouhaha over some woman changing her baby's nappy on a table in an eatery, and as you rightly point out, the hyperbolic language used to express horror over....what is fundamentally not that big a deal.So a baby's bum was on display. Frankly, I can't be @rsed to add anything more on the issue. Moos
jrthomas was the one that brought genocide into the discussion, if that's not hyperbolic I'd like to know what is. Perhaps you could advise exactly how many people need to have died before people on an internet forum are permitted to express any disatisfaction. A person changing a shit-filled nappy in a place where people eat is gross bad manners and bad hygiene. Is it Chernobyl? No. It's just a few posts on a forum. Huguenot
LOL!I'd have just said 'are you taking the piss?', and then my wife would have criticised me for being rude, and then I'd have made some comment about 'taking the shit not the piss', and then the rest of my day would have been about me being rude in public and nothing to do with whether it was okay to unload baby crap in public. Mikecg
The problem I have with this is the Mother is obviously one of those middle class types dragged up from the gutters of London and blessed with the decorum of Roy Chubby Brown. However this is ED and self self self is the order of the day. I was having a coffee in Cafe Nero where I witnessed a mother breast feeding, although natural, I would prefer not to see that sort of thing whilst sipping a tall one, and I remember thinking, why not express at home when you are going out?. I did choose to ignore it but my 5 year old son was fascinated by the whole debacle. Is there such a thing as middle class low life?.Only joking, or am I........ Lizziedjango
Mikecg, so you would prefer not to see a woman breastfeeding while you are having your coffee in Cafe Nero? And you then clarify that by saying:-"why not express at home when you are going out?""Is there such a thing as middle class low life?." I find such comments really quite pathetic and rather offensive, frankly.
