Right east Dulwich, who's got a tattoo and what and where have you got it. I've got an Imperial Chinese dragon on my upper right arm. I had it done about an hour before before the twin towers where hit. My dad went all American and had the date tattoo'd on his bullet wound from the Falklands, bless him.

I have a couple, celtic band on right arm, some pattern thing on my left arm, and a wolf on my upper left arm/shoulder. All done between 18-20 when up in Liverpool, don't regret them, but would probably chose different ones these days.

Have always planned to get the band finished in a certain way, so if anyone knows any good free hand tattooists, let me know.

Well it's Ninth and Hennepin

All the doughnuts have names that sound like prostitutes

And the moon's teeth marks are on the sky

Like a tarp thrown all over this

And the broken umbrellas like dead birds

And the steam comes out of the grill

Like the whole goddamn town's ready to blow...

And the bricks are all scarred with jailhouse tattoos

And everyone is behaving like dogs

And the horses are coming down Violin Road

And Dutch is dead on his feet

And all the rooms they smell like diesel

And you take on the dreams of the ones who have slept here

And I'm lost in the window, and I hide in the stairway

And I hang in the curtain, and I sleep in your hat...

And no one brings anything small into a bar around here

They all started out with bad directions

And the girl behind the counter has a tattooed tear

One for every year he's away, she said

Such a crumbling beauty, ah

There's nothing wrong with her that a hundred dollars won't fix

She has that razor sadness that only gets worse

With the clang and the thunder of the Southern Pacific going by

And the clock ticks out like a dripping faucet

til you're full of rag water and bitters and blue ruin

And you spill out over the side to anyone who will listen...

And I've seen it all, I've seen it all

Through the yellow windows of the evening train

Tom Waits

This just has a Frday 13th sort of feel to it for some reason, and in fact the first person i ever saw with a facial tattoo was a Soho prostitute with three tears going down her right cheek.

I have a beautiful tarantula on my right shoulder and next week am getting the "Happy Human" logo of the British Humanist Association tattoo'd on my left shoulder, with their permission (as it is copyright) as we have just photo'd the CEO of BHA getting hers and it looks fabulous. (Not the words, just the happy human image!)

Which on this evidence Quids had you been the tattoist you might have spelled HEAT, I've heard it has happened, though possibly apocryphal.

But what about having LOVE tattoed on the other hand?

And there'll be a Kolly Kibber style ten bob note and an avuncular ruffling of the hair for the first young scamp to tell me which film those tattoos come from.

    • OMFG is it possible for the council to do anything without a bunch of armchair experts moaning about it? The library refurb is great news, as it's lovely but completely shagged out - the toilets don't even work reliably. Other libraries in the area will be open longer house during the closure. July is a rubbish time to begin a refurb because it's just before the entire construction sector goes on summer holiday, and it would mean delaying the work another 8 months.

    • Second time Aria has completed a plumbing job for me and both times he’s been polite. Communicative, kept to time and completed the job. He’s very helpful and tidy as well. First job was ball valve in water tank, not easy at all. He and his team were fantastic. This time kitchen tap cylinders replaced and tap tightened.  Much appreciated, Aria thank you.
    • Thought others may be interested to help a local community centre help others.    My bank account offers roundup and it’s been growing all year. As well as treating myself or putting it towards a train ticket to see my family I’ve made a donation to the Albrighton. They can use donations at any time but I hope my donation will go towards the Christmas hampers.    Can you support them so they can provide Christmas hampers?   https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/albrightoncommunityfridge?utm_id=1&utm_term=M22JKQb6W   A donation of £50 will pay for a hamper to feed a family over this Christmas period. A donation of £30 will pay for a hamper to feed someone living on their own over the Christmas period.
