RosieH
I'd just like to say a massive shout out to the man who played Live It Up at Lucky 7s on Thursday night. If that was you sir, take a bow.I have no more to add really, so this will be a very short thread, but I just felt it warranted a round of applause. Mick Mac
I have not got a clue what this is about Rosie - but am more than happy to double the size of your thread! :) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/5645-mental-as-anything/#findComment-181191 Share on other sites
RosieH
Thanks Mick, you are a gent and no mistake.Lucky 7s at the Gowlett - someone played Live it Up by Mental as Anything - I could have cried with joy. It was the song I first ever french-kissed to and I don't think I've heard it in 20 years - I was caught up in a Proustian whirl of memory and synaesthesia. If the dj in question is a forum member, I just wanted to express my incomparable delight.(I apologise for over-sharing this evening, I find I can't quite help it) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/5645-mental-as-anything/#findComment-181193 Share on other sites

spark67
That was a blast from the past, reminds me of my heady college days and remember it being played at many a party. Think it was from the crocodile dundee sound track, i bought the 12' single and remember something from the film being on the cover, cant believe that was 23 years ago. I am very scared :) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/5645-mental-as-anything/#findComment-181254 Share on other sites

PeckhamRose
Didn't they also do "If you leave me can I come too"?I saw them in the 80s along with another Aussie band called Cold Chisel.I was going out with an Aussie at the time. He got homesick. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/5645-mental-as-anything/#findComment-181459 Share on other sites
