Do you lot think this applies to you. I was talking about this to my dad and he says he certainly doesn't feel like he's in his fifties. I still feel as indestructable as I did when I was a teenager and I certainly don't consider myself a man more like a boy but then again you're only really a grown up when you've payed off your student loan so perhaps I'll feel differently after I've settled the bill. Over to you.

?Act your age.? That?s what my mum says to me on a regular basis.

She also says, ?Cut your hair? and ?Aren?t you too old to still skateboard??

I?m a happy, qualified professional with a career, nice house and beautiful wife.

But apparently that?s no excuse.

Oh and TP. I turned 30 just over a year ago. You should be scared. It's well old!

I'm 30, and until recently still tried to keep my student lifestyle going. However, marriage and an impending new arrival have definitely led to some changes of late... I'll never stop wanting my all night drinking sessions though. Guess I'll just have to appreciate the ones I do get in future. Feel rather happy with it all mind.

I'm 60 in July, and what the f*** does "acting your age" mean?

I'm 59 so consequently I'm acting my age! Whatever age you are, you're obviously acting it - by definition.

Do you mean, act how somebody else thinks you should act?

So one minute you're 29 (or 39 or whatever) and you act one way, then you wake up the next morning and you're expected to act another way?

What a load of b*l*o**s :))

"This is not my beautiful wife". "Oh my God, how did I get here".

I am 50. I am a motorcyclist. I had a crap childhood and have never wanted - nor have I had - children.

I live in one of the most exciting diverse cities in the world.

When I feel down I jump on the bike and either ride round London, or go down to the coast - Brighton or Thanet.

When my mother was 50, I was 19 and - looking at photos of her at the time - she looked like 70.

Where as I look fabulous.

But as for being grown up - having a child is no guarantee of that happening!

    • I believe there is a minor injuries department at Guys, though I may have misremembered. Not very convenient for SE22 now the 40 no longer goes near. You have to get 2 buses or a train. Charging people (not sure if you mean financially or legally) would waste a lot more time, I would have thought? And  a bad bruise could be serious, depending on the cause and possibly other symptoms.
    • Good news - parliamentary debate scheduled for 19 January! Dear  Parliament is going to debate the petition you signed – “Limit the sale of fireworks to those running local council approved events only”. https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/732559 The debate is scheduled for 19 January 2026. Once the debate has happened, we’ll email you a video and transcript. Thanks, The Petitions Team House of Commons
    • Hey all, A month ago 2 black youths in ski masks/balaclavas on an electric bike tried to rob me where the old Poundland was on Lordship Lane. Last night, what seemed like the same two people tried to rob a Deliveroo driver by The Great Exhibition pub while I walked past. The driver swerved and nearly crashed, and they made off. Not sure what can actually be done about this, and if any residents have spoken to police. I can only implore people not to walk around with noise-cancelling headphones on..because sadly, you will get robbed.
