I hate it when people say, "Hi, yah, like can I get a like, Latte?"

or...

"Yah, I'm like really good thanks"

You should really say 'Please can I have a latte?'

Middle aged men using the word "cool". Women of a certain age talking 'teen', and using Americanisms, and ' TV' talk to appear younger and trendier.

But cool gained currency when those middle aged men were teenagers. Far out didn't survive and the overuse of really seems to have been replaced by like.
