Waiting in a long queue for the female toilets (only 2!) at say, an agricultural show and when it's finally your turn both cubicles become free at the same time.

Can't explain it but it just doesn't seem fair that the person behind me in queue gets to go too! Why am I never that person? Waah it's all so unfair. I may have posted about this before.

Hearing SNP people (and others who parrot their words) talking about Scotland's specialness and worthiness of more devolved powers and - ultimately - independence but never hearing TV and radio presenters actually dig deep and ask them to give examples.

good point nigello although not sure thats irrational rage, sounds very rational to me!

although NS came across well in the pre-electiond debates, she was never really called to account by those outside of Scotland for her party's performance over the last 7 years at Holyrood. She can debate well but scratch beneath the surface and its all bollocks.

On social bloo*y media, numpties spreading stories about things that have been 'banned' and thus being outraged.

"Apparently Facebook are removing this [some political quote or other] from people's timelines, so please make sure it goes viral. Please share.." No, it hasn't been banned. Some political type wants their crappy quote to go viral by suggesting it's been 'banned'.

Gove 'banned' "Of Mice And Men". No he didn't, he suggested removing it from the list of recommended titles at GCSE. Stupid, maybe, but it's not book-banning. And do kids only read prescribed books these days? If so, we've got a lot more to worry about than Michael bloody Gove.

And there's another annoying 'meme' about the ASA banning a Greenpeace anti-fracking ad "because David Cameron disagreed with it". It's b*llocks, but there's that 'nasty man banning something' nonsense again. Enough!

Yeah that annoys me too. Lots of people have shared the classic bullingdon club photo and say they've banned it, let's make sure it's everywhere.

Just silly.

RE nicola Sturgeon, time will tel. She can't hide from economics, if she fuck it up the proof will be there for everyone to point at.

Websites offering a PayPal option that still insist on you putting all your billing and delivery address details in. No, you'll get that info from PayPal, not from me. That's part of the attraction of PayPal from the lazy punter's point of view.

Nearly everything about buses, especially the 363. Why at 630 in the morning is the floor soaked with coke? Why are the hand rails Covered in grease? Why on an empty bus is there always some dullard standing with a bag in the way? Why must the driver accelerate as fast as they can for 20m then break hard? Why will nobody open a window to let the stink of fried chicken out?

Feel Much better....

    • Who was Diana Rayworth, when 'resting from acting'. Her successful career was very sadly cut short following a devastating accident.
    • thanks Jenijenjen and all - yes, i remember walking or taking the bus from the elephant (where i was working) to Camberwell to get there.  I think Tim - who's still at Franklin's -  was there in those days, and the woman who ran the cafe!  Other food places that i remember fondly are the ones in Neal's Yard (with the Hunkin sculpture that you could put a coin in ) and the basement lunch place at the Tottenham Court Road junction with Hanway Street...
    • Did you try the emergency number posted above? It mentions lift breakdowns over the festive period outside the advertised  times. Hope you got it sorted x
    • People working in shops should not be "attempting to do the bill in their head." Nor if questioned should they be  trying to "get to an agreeable number." They should be actually (not trying to) getting to the correct number. I'm afraid in many cases it is clearly more than incorrect arithmetic. One New Year's Eve in a restaurant (not in East Dulwich but quite near it) two of us were charged for thirty poppadoms. We were quite merry when the bill came, but not so merry as to not notice something amiss. Unfortunately we have had similar things happen in a well established East Dulwich restaurant we no longer use. There is also a shop in East Dulwich which is open late at night. It used not to display prices on its goods (that may have changed). On querying the bill, we several times found a mistake had been made. Once we were charged twice for the same goods. There is a limit to how many times you can accept a "mistake".  There is also a limit to how many times you can accept the "friendly" sweet talking after it.
