Is it possible to have non-flat shoes that are both:

a) comfortabe?

b) desirable?

Is Cath Kidston's clothing a bit naff? I just can't work it out.

What should I wear these with?

I have got the silver ones, not the blue ones.

Wee Qunnie, answers are as follows:

Yes. See here:

Grenson - Kent

*swoon*

Cathy K? Tres naff mon amie. Nearly as naff, in fact, as littering postings with random French words.

Your silver shoes? Now, not knowing what you look like this is tricky. But they look like dancing shoes to me, so a black, pleated skirt that twirls whilst you dance would be the ticket. I'll leave your top half alone, I'm not Gok and I don't like the word "bangers".

Now, I'd like the favour returned... can a man under 60 (well 30 actually) get away with a panama hat? On holiday and at home!

I'm holidaying in Florence so that's rather apt.

BBW - How did you know I was teaming it with cream trousers and jacket?! Are you the shop assistant who laughed at me last week?

David - I think you can, but people may draw comparisons with Sebastian Flyte. Not that that is a bad thing, but maybe this is not what you wanted.

I am sure you can carry this off with aplomb though.

Forgot to mention - I like the London Town stuff IN THEORY - however the women's stuff is slightly scary. I quite like the mens, though.

Wee Quinnie - did you just compare me, as Moos suggests, to Sebastian Flyte?

*faints*

Will you marry me?

Yeah, Old Town is quite cool in an odd way, but their menswear is MUCH better than the womens'.

Moos - is your teddy as pretty as Aloysius? If not, I'm not interested. I am the ultimate aesthete!

Well I understand MCC are recruiting stewards D_C, you could be the best dressed one.

Moos - if you will keep mixing those potions, it's hardly my fault. (ps - saw a great ducking stool in Canterbury the other day - I'm sure you could try it for size.)

OHMYGOD...In the name of God and all of his saints and angels!!!

Darling wee quinnie, send those shoes right back immediately. The fact that they are silver just serves to make them look even more like something a matronly fifty year old tap dancing teacher would wear. No, no, no. The next thing you know you will be plucking your chin hair and wearing support knickers.

No it is not possible to wear shoes that are comfortable and desirable. Chin up sweetie, shoulders back and walk tall.

    • They're both names that have stuck in my mind, Lukasz particularly.  These searches may well be helpful to you.   From a cursory look, I think Pawel's appearance in the 2015 'Rogue trader warning'  isn't to his detriment. https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/search/?q= Lukasz&quick=1 https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/search/?q=Pawel&quick=1
    • Hi - I posted a request for some help with a stuck door and possible leaky roof. I had responses from Lukasz at Look_as.com and Pawel at Sublime Builders. I don't see any/many reviews - has anyone used either person?  Could use a recommendation rather then just being contact by the tradespeople... Many Thanks
    • I'm a bit worried by your sudden involvement on this Forum.  The former Prince Andrew is now Andrew Mountbatten Windsor Mountbatten in an anglicisation of Von Battenburg adopted by that branch of our Royal Family in 1917 due to anti-German sentiment. Another anglicisation could be simply Battenburg as in the checker board cake.  So I surmise that your are Andrew Battenburg, aka Andrew Mountbatten Windsor and that you have infiltrated social media so that the country can put the emphasis on Mandelson rather than yourself.  Bit of a failure. I don't expect an answer from police custody.
    • We had John fit our PLYKEA kitchen (IKEA cabinets with custom doors) and would happily recommend him and Gabi to anyone. Gabi handled all communication and was brilliant throughout — responsive and happy to answer questions however detailed. John is meticulous, cares about the small details, and was a pleasure to have in the house. The carpentry required for the custom doors was done to a high standard, and he even refinished the plumbing under the sink to sit better with the new cabinets — a small touch that made a real difference. They were happy to return and tie up a few things that couldn't be finished in the time, which we appreciated. No hesitations recommending them.
