I have never eaten

I have eaten chicken feet.

It was in Thailand in a street side market. I thought, like 1000 year old eggs and other strangely named SE Asian food, it wouldn't really be chicken feet like it said on the menu. But it was. Very gristly and crunchy.

The toenails were particularly off putting.

Based upon a couple of recent train journeys I have been on, this is quite a popular nibble.

'orrible / disgusting to see - but hard not to watch :(

I don't think you're supposed to "crunch" them. You basically nibble/suck off the skin and tendons. They're not exactly my favourite thing though.

I had Oysters, just the once, to see what all the fuss is about! they were bloody horrible.

Sea cucumber.

But I know someone who has :)

I nearly ate sparrows though. In Burma. I didn't notice the legs and beaks amongst the lumps on the skewer.

Luckily I did, in time.

So to cut to the chase, I've never eaten sparrows. Not knowingly anyway :))
