I just saw that I used 'too' instead of 'to' in a sentence where the context demanded that I use 'to'!

What next? I fear that it's but a short step to starting to use 'their', 'there' and 'they're' inappropriately, finally followed by 'loose' and 'lose'.

Sherwick you should be shagging well ashamed of yourself, never mind what the rest of the crush say.

Let it never happen again, this is after all East Dulwich not bastard Romford.

Huguenot. Dilemma. Huge horns. Did I find myself on them? Did I hell. I launched myself onto them.

Cease the entanglement with the over-refined I beg you and be philosophical on the matter. I know I will be.

Their but for the grace of God go I.

And you could of, if things'd of worked out differently.

It's just where life takes us of course.

And there's HB in all sorts of hot water:

"you could of, if things'd of worked out differently"

It shouldn't be 'of' of course, but 'have', or an artfuly placed apostrophe to denote missing letters and generate 'could've'.

As in "I have done something in my trousers" or "I could have done something in my trousers" or "I could've made a message there..."

That would not be a conditional.

And I think what you are looking for would be something like "I was used to doing something, and then..."

PGC - I'm afraid I disagree with your marking, is there an appeal committee?

Huguenot - half of me is covered in shame and simpering apologetically, and the other half is thinking 'the lying get'. That said, I usually use the irony to take wrinkles out of my clothes, so am not to be considered an authority.

Sherwick, see me after class. Bring your stockholder certificates and a copy of the AGM.

    • It was indeed in the vicinity of DKH. I live on the ED estate and I could tell it must be close by because of the noise. When I left my house this morning I found the culprits litter still in the middle of the st. It looked like they had lit a whole box on fire in the middle of the road. My cat jumped out of her skin. I’ll try and report it on Southwark website same as I have had to with other illegal use this week. Any other ideas for what we can do with the photos? Maybe one of the Southwark councillors. It’s outrageous and dangerous behaviour.
    • Had another great meal there…. those that haven’t tried it, give it a go.. have a special lunch menu as well so you can get a flavour of the food.
    • If you "cotton on" and read the council announcement, it clearly states "The library will be closed from 17 November until late June or early July 2026."  https://www.southwark.gov.uk/2025/dulwich-library-closing-refurbishment
    • I’ve been seeing Lisa at goose green clinic for energy work for a year now.  Lisa is kind, caring and hugely supportive. She is wonderfully masterful and trained as a reiki master for 20 plus years. Alongside other energy work.  My time spent with her is like therapy. An emotional safe space for deep conversations and reflection followed by relaxing and energising healing work.  each experience I’ve had has been different, the end result remains the same. Feel lighter, almost euphoric and almost float home. Definitely an experience not to be missed.  https://www.goosegreenclinic.net/therapies/healing-energy-work/
