Unprepared at bus stop! (Lounged)

I got a little gripe....as i'm now getting used to the different buses in the area, i often jump on and off to get to all sorts of places in the borough.

What can be really frustrating is some people standing at bus stops, for what can be ages and then when the bus turns up, they start shuffling around in their pockets and handbags looking for their money or buspass...! Please get your tickets ready so no-one has to hang around, especially when its raining...!

Anyone else finds this frustrating or similar things get under your skin..?

What I find more offensive is the way in which people find it so difficult to form an orderly queue at a bus stop or indeed pretty much anywhere these days. A little common decency does not go far wrong every once in a while, and I people who find it so difficult to wait their turn should be shuffled into the back of a white van and taken to the nearest zoo to live.

Now apparently you can be over prepared for somethings. I went out the other night , naked wearing only a condom (ribbed strawberry flavour)walked into the pub to have a beer & "ready" for the mandatory end of evening shag......Well some people found my "readiness" a little shocking & off putting to say the least.

I mean you just can't win either way sometimes!

Queues exist at Waterloo station at rush hour, where the commuters file up in a very orderly fashion. Elsewhere it's rare to find them. People on LL and fairly good at lining up, or at least acknowledging the person who was there before them and allowing them to board first.

Yes i also agree with many other comments on here, that basic etiquette has gone out the window! its all for oneself these days (you only have to look at our elected representatives and the way they've abuse our hard earned taxpayers money...!).

General decency and consideration towards others is all but a nostalgic feeling from a bygone era, maybe someday we can reverse all that, (utopian thinking , i hear you say..).

The Newspaper Man in East Lane Market/Walworth Road Junction would, simply, leave a pile of papers and trust everyone to pay for them in the containers provided and only appearred himself at the end of the day to collect the remaining papers and his daily take. True or False? True!

Southwark Council (and other Councils') Rent Collectors walking round with the equivalent of ?1,000 + on them to collect the weekly rent from their Council Tenants..True Or False? True!

People using Public Phones and being so aware of the next person that they would, invariably, shorten their conversation. True Or False? True!

People ALWAYS queueing at Bus Stops in an orderly fashion for their Route-Masters? True Or False? True!

Motorists acknowledging a courtesy on the road? True Or False? True (90%)..

Pedestrians thanking you for stopping at lights? True Or False? True!

Two strangers step on each others toes and the Guy who has been trodden on immediately apologising? True Or False? True!

True Mike but these vicious Gangsters (and they were) really did cause problems (mainly) to people who chose to get involved in "their" World and there's no honour amongst the criminal element.

....but they made it perfectly clear that if any Woman or Child or Old Person who were simply a Member Of The Public were abused in their considerable "Manor" that they would have them to deal with and this seemed to keep any potential robber/mugger well away,harsh but it worked, though not terribly "PC"...:))

I did say "mainly".....I was reading only 2/3 days ago from many people who lived in East London at the time and all seemed more than happy with the extra security;-)
