Cassius
I had a quick look round - again although I fully appreciate how much work had gone into it and could see that lots of people were enjoying it - not quite my thing. I did find it amusing that two of the main 'foodie' stalls - number 22 and Baburs were not actually ED restaurants. Their food is fab and they are both favourites of mine, but did think it was a shame that the event did not have a more local foodie representation. aicardo
From seeing the attitude (smile!) of the people paid to pick up the litter, I'm not surprised. Why is it people can't do a job with a smile on their face, it's as if they're doing someone an ungodly favour!Anyhow besides my social gripe, an awesome event, makes me proud to live in such a great part of London, a real community! Shame we can't have them more often? Great start to a great summer! SeanMacGabhann
I think people who pick up other people's litter ARE doing someone else an ungodly favourWhy can't people go along to something like this and just be a bit.. tidyier? Dulwich Born And Bred
I agree Sean, I will even take my rubbish home or use someone's else wheelie bin to throw my rubbish in if I cannot find a bin nearby. I don't understand why people think it is acceptable to litter. TillieTrotter
I had a lovely few hours over there enjoying a few wines in the sunshine. I think a few portaloos would have been a good idea but otherwise I can't complain. dulmum
Thank you. Had a brilliant day, great to bump into so many people enjoying themselves in the sun although it is quite shameful when your 2 1/2 year old knows more people than you do. SeanMacGabhann
one of the reasons I like CPP is that he isn't one of these macho heat-for-it's -own-sake-merchantsyes he sells the seriously hot stuff but even then it has flavour and taste. Ok, pineapple mostly but still... Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/6237-successful-fair-on-goose-green/page/2/#findComment-201462 Share on other sites
