Otta
It's hardly a surprise that it's been a huge success early on. I'm sure it will continue to do well, but perhaps the rush will die down a bit. When you've only got about 5 seats it doesn't take much to sell out. Jeremy
Well, it's not THAT small! It's quite "intimate", but I think that's a good thing, and in line with the fact that ED is not a major town centre like Brixton or Hackney. It's a really nice refurb, bar area is nice, food is decent (in my limited experience of it). Deserves to do well.
Mick Mac
244 seats apparently - that's more than 5 Just about the right size for ED I'd say.

Katy Tonbridge
Went to see 'Inside Out' yesterday, about ?22 for four of us. Full house. Film was great. And NOT elitist.

LondonMix
Inside Out is terrific. Saw it yesterday as a group of 4. Lots of people (adults) crying at the end! Its worth seeing in the cinema.
geh
can't say how much I love this great local resource! As a parent (yup, detestable I know, although mine is now 11) I haven't been to the cinema for ages, too much effort/expense even to go just to Brixton. Now I can pop down the road, and my wife can do the same the following evening (or visa versa) so we get to see the films we want to see on our doorstep.A fantastic addition to the community!Oh yes, took the 11 year old to see ant man this weekend, raining I know but there were 4 or 5 of his school friends and their parents in the audience too.hyper local, its a great thing! Zebedee Tring
At long last, some positive posts again about our excellent cinema. We're so lucky to have it. We're seeing so many films now than we were.
indiepanda
I've been twice and am thinking about becoming a member. I know it's more expensive than going to Peckham Plex, but it's such a nice experience - the seats are the most comfortable I've ever sat in at a cinema, can't recall having better leg room anywhere else either. And I can buy a "baby" portion of popcorn which I appreciate - don't always want to eat a ton of the stuff. Haven't indulged in an alcoholic drink when I've been yet but I am sure it's only a matter of time.
Pickle
We went for the first time on Friday, rainy day trip to see Inside Out. Really impressed, comfortable, clean, an interesting array of snacks for adults, not the usual junky cinema stuff. Nice to have a cinema within walking distance, we will make good use of it. LondonMix
Maybe we should just create a ED picture house thread. Almost no one posting on this thread agrees with the premise and the conversation has long since moved on. Continuing to post here suggests there is some raging debate about how the community feel about the cinema which really isn't the case.
Otta
And it should go in the business section like any other thread about a business.
El Presidente
This cinema is just great. Great location, great seats, great look, great movies (most of the time...), great coffee and great snacks. And great loos too. That anyone can moan about this place defies logic.
icudntafordsw4
I`m newish to the forum but I have noticed how many threads go down the new money /old money / blow in / scared of Peckham route , just saying like .
