Right, I take after my mum being that I'm incredibly nosey and I'm always keen to find out who I'm talking to on the forum, i.e meticulously studying the forum pics and other routes of investigation (I don't mean to boast but I'm a natural detective). Anyway, seeing as Forest hill is very boring in relation to watering holes etc I often go for drink on Lordship lane and use the shops there as well. Sometimes I see people who I recognize from my investigations. I've seen Quids but he was with family I think, I've seen Jah lush but I didn't have my gum shield handy, Dulwichmum but she was with family. I've met Sean and Georgia (Georgia was utterly star struck) Sean was a little bit surprised. Would you find it rude or a bit weird if I came up and said hello?

I'm afraid the drinks option is out of the queston at the moment as I have to consider my immediate physical safety. Perhaps one day though.

Put it this way BBW, if you came up to me and said "Hello thickie I'm BBW" I would not think it weird, but if you were to come up and say "Hello I'm BBW" now that would be a bit oddball. However I'd buy you a drink, I really doubt you'd get attacked physicaly but the verbal asault could make you feel slightly uncomfortable if you have wound anybody up, but as I know your online personna I doubt you have ever done anything like that so you'd be alright at a forum drinks.

Well I'm brave, so if you see a woman carrying a motorcycle helmet, 5ft 8, early 20's, long thick blonde hair, and very slim, say hello to her, and tell her how much you admire her and love how she contributes to East Dulwich life.

Then report back here what happened, because I don't look anything like that.

I'm 5ft 4 and carrying a half face helmet with messy dyed blonde hair (every day's a bad hair day when you're a biker) and you can't tell how skinny or fat I am because it's all stuffed in a big motorcycle jacket!

Lol, it'll be pretty funny if a random stranger came up n said hi to me esp if they recognised me as Andystar..

I've had a funny 2 weeks where at least ten random work people with whom I've never chatted to before, have been coming up and saying hi & chatting with me, like we were mates..It really baffled me for a while, then my work colleague told me that I got totally smashed on blue cocktails the friday before & was chatting to everyone.

I was on the lane today with my 2 daughters but saw noone wolflike. I've have never made it to an EDF drink so everyone on the EDF is completely anonymous to me, and will be until the June drinks at least.

I assume if you gals recognised BBW then thats because he has been to an EDF drinks rathar then looking more wolflike than the other punters...

    • He looks like the human version of the 😡 emoji. I'm sure he's lovely in real life (whoever he is).
    • Absolutely, Insuflo I very much doubt that anyone other than football fans would have heard of Dyche, much less his views on false number nines, mobile centre halves  dropping into midfield or diamond formations. But all middle-aged, portly, bald, gruffly spoken football fans from north of the capital who eschew fancy Dan tactics for the traditional, English merits of 4-4-2 shall be deemed knuckle-dragging Neanderthals by the Wokerati and the Metropolitan Elite. They care not what his views are, only that he looks like the sort of person who may have them. It's political correctness gone mad. But they, unlike Dyche, won't have a pub named after them.
    • I'm afraid I have no idea who Sean Dyche is, but I'm sure I could research him (and his views on library refurbishment timetables, if any) on any of the Southwark libraries' internet access computers. Free for any library member!
    • So that suggests the consultations with 'community' are just a tick box exercise where information given cannot be relied on. Not a good look. I hope Renata Hamvas who is the local councillor, as well as licensing, finds a way to stop the wholesale, spreadingmonetisation of an important green space in summer. If they get this it'll end up like Brockwell Park before you know it.
