I'm confused... the other thread in the lounge actually bothered to mention what the "incident" was compared to this rather empty thread and yet was locked... hmmm

I must say it's a little late to be having the police helicopter out circling the area don't you think... at least half an hour after reports came flying (excuse the pun) in.

They caught one of the guys who had been stabbed over on my street a few minutes ago. I had walked past them a couple of minutes before not knowing something was up and steered clear. His hand was bleeding quite heavily. There were 4 police vans and an ambulance. And then they went through our rubbish bins (me peering out the window, excitedly). It was just like CSI

Haven't been here in a while.

If you are planning to get a bus or go up or down LL for the next hour or so don't bother. It's closed off between pistachio and foxtons and traffic is going way back.

There was a gang, a loud scream, blood everywhere on a guy, two stabbings. One guy tried to run away and get on a bus. Another teenager tried to run but the cops jumped him.

What is ED coming too?:-S

I was on the roof when I took that photo! Pinned down on the slates as I made the ultimate sacrifice of holding on with one hand so I could take a photo, even though I was being bounced up and down by the full furry of the chopper blades.. Phew!! I don't even think that photo is on Sky News yet!! ;-)

    • hah ha! On the subject of dodgy keys and also police protocol with stolen cars, my first car was a 1969 mini which you could open and start by wiggling a small flat-headed screwdriver. No wonder it was stolen. About a week later the police called to say they'd spotted it on the Dog Kennel Hill estate opposite East Dulwich station. In those days parking was free so at least I didn't receive any tickets, but I surprised the police just left a message with the address and expected me to go and pick it up. I was slightly worried I'd have to tackle the culprits myself when I arrived.
    • Great pub, great deals and great service! Food is second to none Highly recommend 👌
    • This thread is brilliant! I am glad it has a happy ending. The reference to the Punto keys reminds of the days of when you could "jiggle a lock" with a similar car key and I speak from painful memory as a kid I managed to lock the keys in our car whilst on a camping holiday in Spain. My mum and dad didn't speak much Spanish and much hilarity ensued (post event) as they tried to communicate to the driver of a similar make and model of car as to why they had flagged him down and were trying to get him to lend him the key from his ignition!
    • I highly recommend my painter and decorator Sean. I have used him for over 25years. He is reliable and charges a reasonable price.  you can contact him on 07572 779608
