I like the sun, but not a massive fan of the heat. A comfortable 70 degrees with a breeze is about as hot as I need. Kids waking up at 5am every morning is another negative - black out blinds never quite do the trick. People out in gardens keeping kids awake (when they're getting up at 5). Child care over the summer holidays is also massively expensive, difficult to organise and guilt riddling. There you go, I'm grumpy too. :-)

Oh your a bloody ray of sunshine aren't you!

i'm inclined to agree with you entirely numbers but have refrained from saying anything up until now for fear of being labelled grumpy. it's not that i hate summer but i'm definitely not a shorts and t-shirts person, i just love being cozy in a nice jumper while downing a few ales or a guiness (pleural: guineeii??).

i look forward to the onset of autumn...

Thread started by someone other than Louisa with the express intention of having a moan (the clue is in the title).

Various other posters join in said moan.

Louisa posts

Other people post after Louisa's post still moaning.

You quote Louisa's post out of all the others.

Oh dear, Well - pardon me! I'm aware of what the threads about Otta , thanks. .... I'm totally free to quote whoever I like - why shouldnt I pick out Louisas' post ? I'm sure I'm not the only one fed up with her whinging and moaning.

In true Foxy spirit.. I have to say there is very little if anything that I Hate about Summer.

I love Summer.. (It was 43 Deg C. in Turkey and I Loved it.) Bit chilly back here.. at 24 Deg.

I suppose as the thread was about hating summer, my views will be considered Negative.. :)

Did not want to let anyone down..

a bully? no of course not! However, I don't think I'm "chasing anyone down" either. That would imply that I'm deliberately searching for Louisas' posts in order to respond negatively to them, which isnt true - Iv'e better things to do. :)

Oxford street beggars shoving paper cups with coins in in my face whilst having a packet of Marlbororo and a mobile Phone sticking out of their pocket, accosting me on my lunch hour and going to and from work.

    • There was another unprovoked attack on Monday this week on a young woman nearby (Anstey Road) at 6.45pm. Don't have any other details, it was posted on a Facebook group by her flatmate. Pretty worrying  https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1EGfDrCAST/
    • OMFG is it possible for the council to do anything without a bunch of armchair experts moaning about it? The library refurb is great news, as it's lovely but completely shagged out - the toilets don't even work reliably. Other libraries in the area will be open longer house during the closure. July is a rubbish time to begin a refurb because it's just before the entire construction sector goes on summer holiday, and it would mean delaying the work another 8 months.

    • Second time Aria has completed a plumbing job for me and both times he’s been polite. Communicative, kept to time and completed the job. He’s very helpful and tidy as well. First job was ball valve in water tank, not easy at all. He and his team were fantastic. This time kitchen tap cylinders replaced and tap tightened.  Much appreciated, Aria thank you.
