Watched some of the Specials set in the Hermits Cave earlier... looked good.

JD has probably just been more careful with his money than the rest of them. But who really cares about the keyboard player anyway?

Dammers was the driving force behind The Specials, writing most of the songs and was also involved in the production side. I just thought it was a shame they couldn't sort out their differences (was it over money?) - life's too short etc.

Annywaay, does anyone know what's happened to their old trombone player Rico Rodriguez? The last time I saw him he was in the Jools Holland band...

Jerry Dammers always was a difficult man so I can understand the fall out...

mate of mine was with him for years and he was a grummpy ol' b*gger

sorry folks...I'm a visual mood this morning...

My keyboard comment was a bit tongue-in-cheek... the keyboard is one of my instruments, and I've always found it harder to get recognition playing keyboard in a bad compared to when I've been playing other instruments. I know Jerry was a pivotal member (maybe the main songwriter?)

Rico was an unofficial member... I always thought of him more as an all-round ska and reggae legend who made the odd guest appearance with The Specials. Besides, he's an old man now.

    • Electrical work can be dangerous, and hiring an unqualified individual can put you and your family at risk. and negate your insurance. A qualified electrician has the training and experience to safely handle any electrical issues, reducing the likelihood of accidents or injuries. With the exception of simple tasks, it is illegal for anyone other than a licensed electrician to perform electrical work. Hiring a qualified electrician ensures that the work is done in compliance with local laws and building codes. Some electricians are being recommended on EDF but here is no indication that they registered with NICEIC or NAPIT.  One is well advised to steer clear of Check-a-Trade which is a marketing service funded by subscription.
    • Didn’t they have a very ‘unusual’ way of allocating council housing which was also criticised in that report and which hopefully has now been changed

    • Was that the the time it took before reporting something like 'Fully charged'?  If so, had you tried checking from time to time before then whether the battery was effective?   It might also be interesting trying the charger again after a week or two, to see how well the battery is maintaining charge.
