From the Urban75 site.

I use Haircut Sir at the bottom of Tulse Hill. Wouldn't describe what you get as Vidal Sassoon, but you certainly end up with less hair. The old boy who runs the place has been cutting hair in Brixton for 35 years

Not Vidal Sasson but you end up with less hair, I wonder if Supercity's connected to the place?

James

Y'know I've been all of a tiz all night!

I don't know but James you really inspired me and .... sooo it well bought me out of "there". So now like a pheonix, a bird of paradise, a peacock I am readdddy to strut my drakey stuff down his "Lordship's Lane" and back.....my eyes as dark as "coalite"........( it is a smokeless fuel ) I'm on fire... yes sir! this clone is "in the zone..."

Oh yeah loooooooooook out!! I am primped, pressed, permed and pompadoured .......I'm a raven for a ravin'.... wearin' rhinestone in my hair & ready to fly.

So come on lets strike like raptors & hit the town tonight.

What do you say "big cock" ....

.............or are you staying in washing y'hair ?

James I used to like all my colour, but a friend in headnizm used to do it all with a cut for about 20 quid. Once she'd gone back to Australia, it suddenly became very expensive, and I decided it wasn't worth it. Plus I am a bit to old and thinning at the back a bit if I'm honest, so I'd probably look a total knob if I had it done now.

Jimi...this is nothing...some people have received FAR worse...it's only a forum and it's all part of the fun...and remember, you can give as good as you get...if you are "innocent" get in there and fight your corner...if you've been a "naughty boy" and been caught out, then learn from it...but don't give up...ED IS nice and so are most of its residents...save a few cliquey tosspots...but I'm sure Hampstead wasn't devoid of those either.

As per jaybee82's post, "Welcome to to The Forum Jimi".

I second that with a welcoming Jamesian Adam Ant-style 'FA FA QUA DIDDLY FA FA' from 'Stand And Deliver'.

And it would also be apt to throw in 'Singer's Hampstead Home' by Microdisney.

Well when I say apt, I probably mean gratuitous.

    • A lot to agree with here - don’t get me started on Irish people complaining about immigration! - but that final paragraph is once again a cop out  there’s a lot of extreme right wing money stirring up the division that people are feeling - but there is zero excuse for handing power to these people. We live in a democracy and if we have enough people willing to give it up then judging those people foolish enough to do so is not only something that will happen, it is something that the rest of us should be morally compelled to do  if someone wouldn’t “normally” vote for a racist party yet somehow will do so because they hear someone like me saying that would be bad, then you better believe I’m judging them

    • The current wave of xenophobia is due to powerful/influential people stirring up hatred.  It;'s what happened in the past, think 1930s Germany.  It seems to be even easier now as so many get their information from social media, whether it is right or wrong.  The media seeking so called balance will bring some nutter on, they don't then bring a nutter on to counteract that. They now seem to turn to Reform at the first opportunity. So your life is 'shite', let;s blame someone else.  Whilst sounding a bit like a Tory, taking some ownership/personal responsibility would be a start.  There are some situations where that may be more challenging, in deindustrialised 'left behind' wasteland we can't all get on our bikes and find work.  But I loathe how it is now popular to blame those of us from relatively modest backgrounds, like me, who did see education and knowledge as a way to self improve. Now we are seen by some as smug liberals......
    • Kwik Fit buggered up an A/C leak diagnosis for me (saying there wasn't one, when there was) and sold a regas. The vehicle had to be taken to an A/C specialist for condensor replacement and a further regas. Not impressed.
