The trailer for the current reissue of Hardcore Uproar by Together.

Suddi, one half of Together, features large, with his crazy vocal. Bits of Daily Mirror cuttings (they misspelt his name, poor love), Anthea Turner on TOTP giving a shout out for the Blackburn ravers, Tony Wilson, Mike Pickering...

All 19 years ago. Doesn't time fly.

You can find the current remixes themselves on Youtube:

Lee Mortimer remix

One Man & His Dog remix

And a recent

in Blackburn.

(And you can buy them on Beatport in full 320 MP3...)

Sorry for the plug ;-)

A couple from the early 90's.

A remix of sorts.

Disclaimer

The second feature contains flashing strobe lighting that could easily lead viewers such as Quids, Woof, Daizie, Mic Mack, Mockney Piers, Legaleagle-ish, SeanMacGabhan, Keef and all the other pill munching half wits I can't remember right now to be transported back to an age where Phat Willy's apparell and Doc Martins were perfectly acceptable as well as rebounding all over the shop whereby the following morning you can look back on the nights antics and blame it on your stupid hairstyle that was parted in the middle.

Especially you Sean.

Oh and just before any smart arses like Quid's want to jump in and point out that Trip To Trumpton wasn't a remix. I know that but I just wanted to collectively insult all the now 40 something professionals who once saw themselves as rebels in a unpredictabe post cold war world who'd never give in to the struggle against the system but are now part of it themselves.

I'm always being picked on for being the youngest so there's one in the eye for clique.

Ha ha.

    • Yes, that compromise is in not extending the event to two weekends, and keeping it to the one currently.  Yes, I am getting that too, but just go anyway. I intend to.  I will talk to FOPR, and see if there is any interest for a petition from those going to the consultation tm. We just need some volunteers to get together and do the leg work. I've done political party canvassing before, and so can organise a ward by ward schedule. I think it's fair to say that any goodwill some of us had towards working with Gala has gone with this proposed expansion. They are not the same people that started the event with We Are the Fair. At least one of those people actually lived next to the park. The people running things now have no connection to the park or local area and quite frankly are taking the p*** now. Might be worth officially demanding to know where the money the council gets from the festival is actually spent as well.
    • It's a fantastic little place
    • Sadly we need young people from developing countries with higher birth rates to do the work that Brits wont do, including many jobs in health and social care.  How you square this with minimum wages to get work visas I don't know.  A different subject for another thread.   Shortage of skilled workers is another topic.  We could return to the fact that young people from Europe no longer come to the UK for a limited time, to do both skilled and unskilled jobs, but that would bring us back to Brexit and the crazy decision we made as a nation. Some nice analysis by Sky News, tend not to use them as a rule but was surprised by the quality of this piece: https://news.sky.com/story/how-many-illegal-migrants-are-in-britain-the-key-numbers-driving-the-immigration-debate-13428405
    • Would be good if they turned it into something that is social/community driven for housing - old and young mix together. Let’s face it, dearth of social anything relating to housing… if that.could  be combined with say, work area and gardening and cafe for all, everyone wins.. Dream on.. yea… certainly don’t need more large supermarkets, kitchen stores, Argos etc… Haven’t had time to look at plans…
