I actually can't abide Wogan and his witterings on the radio. Glad he's going but can't stand Chris Evans either. His high pitched voice sounds like he's been kicked in the knackers... My preference would be Adrian Chiles - he's got the perfect face for radio.

twas a private joke Pgc.

Look at Iainetc "Pie/Crumble" thread and see how many times I said "Pie" only for Iainetc to say "Pie still has no votes"..::o

If Danny Baker can't do it then Danny Kelly, but he's got to have good sidekicks.

I'd suggest Mark 'Oh Dear It's' O'Donnell gets transferred back from whatever provincial radio station he pootled off to and perhaps Danny B might borrow him Amy Lame for a couple of mornings a week.

The Candyman, Amy Lame (sorry can't do an accent on the e so that comes out wrong. She is of course absolutely not lame), Mark O'Donnell and David Kwo (sp?)

...and if HelloLandanI'mrrrrrrrrRobertElms gets it I will run amok up and down Evelina Road till the filth tazer me.

    • Politics is a nasty business and very vindictive at times - especially when internal party politics are concerned. Perhaps this is revenge for the leadership challenge and was being served cold. I do hope Cllr McAsh has understanding employers and can get his job back if that part of the story is true.
    • The Leader of the Council gets a larger Special Responsibility Allowance than plain Cabinet members: £58,427 in 2023-24, rather than somewhere in the £30k+ range.  See https://www.southwark.gov.uk/about-council/councillors-and-mps/councillors/allowances, which includes links to full tables of payments made to all councillors for the past seven years.  There's a list of Cabinet members at https://moderngov.southwark.gov.uk/mgCommitteeMailingList.aspx?ID=302
    • The list of projects on the Railway Gazette link talks about “Peckham Rye congestion relief “ being delayed; is this the same as the redevelopment of the square in front?  Or is it internal changes to the station? Is there separate funding for the two or is it all one project?
