not in order of merit:

Keef because he was the first person to praise one of my posts

SeanMacGabhann my favourite pretend Irishman, not an ounce of brogue anywhere

*bob* is good value

Mockney Piers I find informative on lots of things

Michael Palaeologus an easy guy with a difficult name love his sparring with Dulwich mum

David Carnell for his youthful idealism

???? great name and his wicked humour makes me lol

Jah lush also has wicked humour makes me lol

Bignumber5 for his understated skill with difficult women, and his post writing like me, has made us both think things through

There are many others who I have missed out whose posts I have enjoyed enormously, but the one whom I must not forget is MARK for enabling us.

Michael Palaeologus Wrote:

-> Cockerney 'burbs! You cant vote for yourself! Vote

> for me, I will give you a Knighthood for it.

> Honest ;-)

........You seem like an Honest Guy and I'm a trusting Soul so you are, indeed, the recipient of my vote:)

Oh my, this made me laugh so much. Should BN5 feel pleased as punch or, allow his instinct for self-preservation to rule and claim to have no idea what Steve can be referring to?

Ms B what a nice thing to hear about oneself, I'm genuinely touched. Not just because you said a nice thing about me, but I enjoy your posts, in particular the way you've become a regular on the Song Game thread.

I like Keef because he's a musician and is therefore bound to be louche and rakish.

I like Louisa for her restraint in not responding recently when I twitted her gently and I suspect that her apparent spikinesss is just a carapace she adopts because she may have once been hurt in love.

I like Luv Peckham and the Gatecrasher of that ilk because they make me grin.

I like Muffintop because I hear she's very attractive for..............ever.

I like Moos for her flights of fancy. She's ginchy.

I like Jah Lush for his sterling taste in music. He's irie.

I like Michael Paleface and Hugenuts for the amusing variations one can make of their names. Actually that should read for their thought provoking posts. Also David Carnell and Mockney Piers for the same reason.

I like PeckhamRose too for the way she and DC managed to have a thread about a parking matter recently that was of some use.

That Sean Mac doesn't seem like a bad ol' shkin neither.

If I've forgotten anyone, buck your ruddy ideas up.

    • A lot to agree with here - don’t get me started on Irish people complaining about immigration! - but that final paragraph is once again a cop out  there’s a lot of extreme right wing money stirring up the division that people are feeling - but there is zero excuse for handing power to these people. We live in a democracy and if we have enough people willing to give it up then judging those people foolish enough to do so is not only something that will happen, it is something that the rest of us should be morally compelled to do  if someone wouldn’t “normally” vote for a racist party yet somehow will do so because they hear someone like me saying that would be bad, then you better believe I’m judging them

    • The current wave of xenophobia is due to powerful/influential people stirring up hatred.  It;'s what happened in the past, think 1930s Germany.  It seems to be even easier now as so many get their information from social media, whether it is right or wrong.  The media seeking so called balance will bring some nutter on, they don't then bring a nutter on to counteract that. They now seem to turn to Reform at the first opportunity. So your life is 'shite', let;s blame someone else.  Whilst sounding a bit like a Tory, taking some ownership/personal responsibility would be a start.  There are some situations where that may be more challenging, in deindustrialised 'left behind' wasteland we can't all get on our bikes and find work.  But I loathe how it is now popular to blame those of us from relatively modest backgrounds, like me, who did see education and knowledge as a way to self improve. Now we are seen by some as smug liberals......
    • Kwik Fit buggered up an A/C leak diagnosis for me (saying there wasn't one, when there was) and sold a regas. The vehicle had to be taken to an A/C specialist for condensor replacement and a further regas. Not impressed.
