In one episode of the Sopranos Paulie Walnuts explains why he always washes his hands after tieing his shoelaces. He said that the floors in men's toilets are covered in piss so subsequently and loose laces would be coated in it. I think it's a great point.

And here's another dillema... you are desperate for a #2, and I'm sure we've all been in this situation before (although I can't speak for the ladies here), there is only one cubicle available (the others are being used). You go into the empty cubicle and recoil in horror at the stench the previous #2'er has left...I'm talking heavy, sulphurous, acrid, lingering stuff, that makes it impossible to breathe! (think a big session night before consisting of warm ales, curry, more warm ales, topped off with a kebab - I think you get the picture).

So, you're desperate... do you go for it and hold breath for as long as possible and face the embarrasment of the next person thinking it was you that did the deed, or wait for one of the other cubicles...BTW there is newspaper rustling in the other cubicles so it could be a long wait!

God knows what has just happened in the bogs here at work. Out of the 3 cubicles; 1 has had the toilet seat broken off and by the looks of it someone?s arse has exploded, the door is hanging off the middle one and the third the handle is missing but someone has left a present for us to appreciate and others have added to it to form a stinking, fermenting concoction.

Working from home sounds so appealing right now. Is everybody else in the world just disgusting or something?

    • In case anyone is renovating or stripping out an old kitchen, I am looking for a base kitchen unit or carcass to house an oven for a temporary set up kitchen.   Also looking for a run of worktop at least 180 cm long if anyone is disposing of something like this, I would be happy to collect.   thanks   Mila
    • Big recommendation for Stephen Viccary who has created a magnificent bathroom for us. Quality of work is absolutely top notch. We couldn't be happier - see pics.  Stephen is considerate and tidy meaning working from home during the work was fine (some noise - obviously, it is a demo and installation after all. He does not work on multiple jobs, does a full days work and does ALL the work himself - Tiling, plumbing, lighting (including lighting on a motion sensor under the vanity and in the shower niche - for night time visits 😉), he even changed the door architraves, sorted the badly cracked ceiling and did all the paint work. A full end to end service. Stephen's number - 07941 266 145
    • Highly recommend Dulwich Eco Gardening.  When he came to quote Saied said he’d give our garden back so we could decide what we do next.  Under two weeks of hard work from Saied and Mo and we have the garden back and can see paving I’d forgotten about. Not only did Saied remove our very overgrown greenery. Nature had taken over. He also took back to our fence line overgrown ivy, apple and pear trees and and dealt with a neighbours bamboo that had invaded our garden.  We are now going to get quotes for what we do next so those quoting will be able to see the space.  Saied has suggested someone to quote and will be coming back when he does in case he has any questions or they can work together.  I thought Saied would be a good choice and he was. Quotes from others didn’t leave me with confidence for the end result. That was never a concern with Saied.
