Sorting office to close

Have you heard that the Silvester Rd sorting office is going to close.

We will all be expected to go to Peckham to collect our parcels.

How are people expected to get the items home? try carring awkward parcels on the bus maybe.

If the Royal Mail thinks anything of there customers why are they trying to get rid of the

sorting office we have all known for over 50 years.

We do not want to go to Peckham for our Post. So far we have lost our Police stations both of them.

Now it looks like we are to lose the sorting office. Its about time we took a stand about this before it is done and dusted.

I have had to go to Sorting Office when recorded delivery or registered letter cannot be delivered as I am at work. Sometimes on line supplier will send parcel via Royal mail and cannot deliver. What times are the Peckham SO open?

If they are getting rid of the sorting office are they also getting rid of the delivery centre in Pellat Rd?

You could buy a share, become a shareholder and raise a question regarding this at the AGM.

Dear Ellis: No I hadn't heard this - until you started this rumour, which has been allowed to turn into a popular thread. This may not have been intended as trolling, but that's how I'm treating it. What is your source (I hope it's not "a friend told me...").

I too would like to know the source of this rumour/information.

I sincerely hope it isn't true. I have a small letterbox and consequently have to go to Silvester Road quite often to collect things. I don't particularly want to have to increase the size of the letterbox :(

    • I can definitely recommend AFE Plumbing services. i had a leaking tap in the kitchen and Aria came out the next morning to identify the problem and bring a new tap to replace the old tap and get it all working very quickly. Aria is a very helpful individual who will always do his best to solve a problem for you.

    • I’ve been following the conversation with great interest. I don’t think that london parks and their wildlife are appropriate places for this kind of events. And of course, it also affects residents, too. It was really annoying going to the park with so many people, cans and rubbish everywhere, and noise spreading towards all directions. And think that I do like this kind of music, but I still think that this is not the right place to run big open air events like this. Also, today I saw this on the news: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c3gg8p770eeo A free event was cancelled because private ones damaged the Brockwell park. Of course a free event would be cancelled, there is no way it’d be the other way around.
