  1. Perhaps taking the time to read threads properly will give you a better insight than listening to a second hand account. :)

    a joke

A man, getting along in years, finds that he is unable to perform sexually. He finally goes to his doctor who tries a few things, but nothing seems to work. Finally, as a last hope, the doctor refers him to an African medicine man. The medicine man says, "I can cure this." With that, he throws a white powder into a flame, and there is a flash with billowing blue smoke. Then he says, "This is powerful healing, but you can only use it once a year. All you have to do is say '123,' and it shall rise for as long as you wish!" The man then asks, "What happens when it's over, and I don't want to continue?" The medicine man replies, "When your wife can take no more sex and is completely raddled, all she has to say is '1234', and it will then go down. But be warned, the pork sword will not rise again for another year." The old gent rushes home, anxious to try out his new powers. That night he showers, shaves and smothers himself in aftershave. He slides into bed, cuddles up to his wife and says "123". Suddenly he has the most gigantic stiffy ever, just as the medicine man promised. His wife turns over and asks, "What did you say '123' for?"
  3. Pen Island Ok a company not a place, but still :))
  4. I've just spoken to Veronique, who remembers the complaint clearly. Not only did she apologise for the bacon sandwich, but replaced it and as a gesture of goodwill didn't charge you for any of the sandwiches, bacon or sausage. You only paid for your drinks! I've known Veronique for a number of years and know how much effort and hard work she and her staff are putting into this business. So when a complaint is dealt with in what most people would consider a more than satisfactory manner, your continued criticism is unfair to say the least.

  6. I had a bacon sandwich there this morning ?2.75 and thoroughly enjoyed it. Veronique uses William Rose products and fresh baked bread, so the basic ingredients for your sandwich undoubtedly cost more than those used in most builders cafes.
  7. TonyQuinn and Mittens, look at the first two posts on this thread! They're having a pop at SE22, the third is re SE15! Get down off your class war horses please. Next you'll be making excuses for the shooting and blaming social economics. Yes it's sad that someone has died as a result of gun crime and shocking that it's on our doorsteps (btw I'm SE15).

    chickens

A friend has had 6 chickens since september 08 in her garden at Peckham Rye. She has an Eglu from Omlet.co.uk, they supplied the chickens too and gave great advice.
  9. I'm sure the aupair only has the pepper spray to keep her little charges in order, so more a tool of her trade than an offensive weapon ;-) Sorry to hear about the bike lilo, it's become a bit of a landmark. First yellow, then the blue wheels. Let's hope it turns up soon. :-S

  21. The parks are probably safer than the pavements at the moment! Let's see the council close the pavements in fear of being sued!!!!
