This is not the first incident involving this dog or his owner. The man gave exactly the same reason when his dog attacked a friends dog, saying it was because her dog was on the lead! She involved the police and the RSPCA. I will pm you with more details Emily!
Just some info on fare evasion: *Fare evasion costs London Underground around ?44m a year. *During 2004/05 London Underground's Private Prosecution Section handled around 5,000 cases, most of these being for fare evasion. *During 2004/05 Transport for London's Bus Investigations and Prosecutions Service dealt with 13,000 criminal prosecution cases, most of these being for fare evasion. *One TOC deals with 3,000 cases of fare evasion, and 500 prosecutions leading to a criminal conviction per month. *For that TOC in only 6 to 10 cases a month (out of the 500 prosecutions) is there a 'not guilty' plea. *Since legislation in 1999 a rail operator can revoke a Penalty Fare if it is not paid and pursue the case as a criminal offence of fare evasion. The people looking at the images are going to be seeing thousands every day, so unless you're freakishly abnormal they're not going to be taking much notice of your bumps, lumps and curves or the size of whatever you're worried about. It'd be like being slightly embarrassed at the doctors. I'm not bothered by it at all.
All these 'we's' and 'us's' are a lot less clear than shameless political grandstanding is! Read it the same as Eileen did. JBarber - Balfe's Bikes ;-)
Glad I stayed in town! Left Piccadilly at 9.15, got home at 10.15. I think that's pretty good on a normal day! I did feel a bit sorry for the people being turfed off the busses at Peckham Rye though, many were heading for Crysttal Palace and none of the busses were going there..
I'd like to see it demolished and returned to green space. This should help compensate for the loss of green space that will happen if and when the proposed changing facilities near the carpark are built. It'd probably save a load of money on consultant fees and having to update the building to a usable standard.
I handed a set of car and house keys into the cafe this morning! Lots of key found in the park get handed in there, so if you've lost some that's a good place to check.
I don't use the 78 very often, but it seems that when I do there's always people arguing on it. Last week a row broke out between two passengers over the push and shove to get on. The man called the woman a cow and she retorted with what finished the argument "Better a cow than a c**t"! Made me smile anyway!
