  1. LOL! LadyG, a 4-4 thriller at Old Trafford? Would make for quite the match, but I susepct it'll be more of a 1-1 / 1-0 / 0-1 type affair. Agre with Matthew, even a win today would not bring the league Liverpool's way, Man U just are not likely to drop more than 3 ponts the rest of the season. However, I think a second place finish within touching distance of first would actually be a significant improvement for the pool (once people forget disappointment and look at previous tables). Still need to keep plugging aay though, and a win today would still be very nice...

You won't be confused after the second one, but depression will probably grip you all night like an icy hand under the covers!
  3. Good one man! >:D<
  4. I've actually always felt it should have been the league who paid compensation, as it was them who failed to mention that a rule had been broken (because no one seemed quite sure whether it had or not). Once the league table was finalised and West Ham were safe, why should they be punished? I've nothing against Shef U, and wish them well, but this thing has been stupid. I have everything against Neil Warnock, not least the affair Matthew mentions. Why should any team consider another team when pickin a side that they feel best suits their own ambitions? As I said at the time, had Shef U been safe, and had an FA Cup final or something around the corner, his attitude will have undoubtedly be different! Not just that though, I genuinely think he's a complete tool!
  5. Looks like Shef U are finally going to rob a few quid off of West Ham. At least the whole soory affair will be over, and hopefully Shef U will shut the f**k up about it orever now. Sorry, but I hate a bad loser, and that is all this has stank of since it started.

Anyone been watching this? For those who haven't, it's a trilogy of dramas set in the grim north (Leeds) in the late 70's / early 80's (last night was the middle one, and was set at the time they caught the Yorkshire Ripper). Each film is directed by someone diferent. What do people think? I chatted to Mockney about last weeks one, and we both agreed that it was basically shite! Reasonably simple story told incredibly badly over 2 hours, with lots of arty shots of the bleak moors. Mrs Keef however, disagrees, and thought that last weeks was stunning. I didn't want to watch last nights instalment, but actually ended up rather enjoying it. Much preffered the style of direction, and thought it was wel done, if rather depressing! What do others think?
  8. Agree with Quids. I was going to say yesterday, but forgot, that if you replace immigrants coming to London with blow ins to ED since 2009, then you get Louisa, and sometimes even me. We all have fond memories of the way things once were.
  9. Mattham, apparently they had planned to make a couple of feature length Deadwoods, but it never came about, and they are all now saying they doubt it ever will. Damned shame!
  10. When???
  11. Funnily enough, when my wallet was stolen (not in the uplands), someone tried to use my debit card in the uplands the next day. Annoyingly, I think they got away with 50 quid too (didn't cost me, but annoying to think the scum got a penny). There have been a couple of managers in there who seemed to have real lack of people skills, but these guys seem nice.
  12. I'm ou a huge fan, it's not Best of you, which is the one I know best. Hmmm, Times like these? I'm rubbish at recognising lyrics (much as I love them), more a music man.
  13. I was going to say the same Sean. It's what I've always sang anyway.
  14. DOA?
  15. What *bob* said. This did make me think of a conversation Mrs Keef and I had yesterday about someone we know who has lived in council housing all her life, and believes she has a right to it, and shows off about how she will scam the council, moaning about "all these immigrants coming and taking all the housing from people that need it". Oh the irony! Just made me chuckle.
  16. One vision, Queen
  17. I tell you to end your life, I wish I could but it's too late.
  18. Staff are lovely, and so nice with kids in the afternoons. Thing that bugs me is the awful acoustics, sound bouncing around. Used to be a proper old school pub, and whoevs ripped the front out was a total knob with no forward thinking. Basically it's a horrid building, but nice enough place for a beer, and the locals won't hurt you, they might even be friendly if you don't look down your nose at them.
  19. Are t illiminati not the villans created completely by the famous scholar Dan Brown?
  20. Not sure either, but as you say, sure it's happened. Worrying for te Arsenal... Come on boys, lets have 4 in the qarters! In fact, lets go one better than last year, and have an all English semis!
  21. Well so far so good for United, guess they'll want to score more though, would be a nightmare to be 1-0 up and then the away team equalise in the 90th minute...
  22. This bit had made me think it was all rather tongue in cheek. Was it not then? Mockney is a blow in, and a Spaniard at that. What the heck does he know? Huh, huh huh????
  23. Sorry, have been away from this since earlier posting. Exactly right! I'm not suggesting anyone should vote for them now, I am just saying that to say "I will never vote for xxxx party" is closed minded and ridiculous. Cu off nose to spite face springs to mind. As for the Lib Dems, I have voted that way in the past, and was well impressed with the young lady MP they had on the Question Time in Peckham a couple of weeks back. I have however gone more Green recently, but it shall be one or the other.
  24. I shall vote Green. Will never vote for David Cameron as he is human slime, and George Osborne is a horrid little prick. However, I do get angry when people say they will NEVER vote Tory because of the sins of the 80s. Parties can change, just look at Labour, hardly the socialists of old are they.
  25. Agree, league is top prize, but come on, that was pretty bloody cool, and would not say no to another champs league. Do believe however that europe should be icing on cake, not everything. SP, I'd be surprised if your lot went out tomorrow, it could happen, but no need to expect it with your current form.
