I did rave about them, but that was only following one visit when Mrs Keef and I both really enjoyed it... That could've been catching them on a good night though... Maybe we both need to try them again and hopefully meet somewhere in the middle. Speaking of Camberwell Curries, does anyone remember Nogar? I used to love that place. Not sure if it's still a curry house or not... It's definitely not the shabby old place with the fish tank that I knew and loved though.
  2. Ganapati is the bo!!ocks (that's a good thing by the way). There's a new take away one opened in Sydenham, it's very ordinary, but the do a meal deal where for a tenner you get any main, any rice, any nan, any side and popadoms. The great thing about it is they do all dorts of rice and nans. Like I say, they're nothing special, but they're no worse than average, and that is great value!!!
  3. Cake or death?
  4. You're an absolute diamond Louisa, gold, pure gold! >:D

I couldn't give a sh!t mate, I live in Sydenham ;-) Seriously, an affordable clothe shop isn't the end of the world, not everyone even in ED can afford White Stuff and the Deli, which is why Iceland is still open... Those people do need clothes!
  6. Yeah cos that won't attract lots of lads? ;-)

  8. Oh please don't say Black Cherry, a really good friend works there, and whilst it not really my cup of tea, it's one of the nicer places on LL... Liquorice on the other hand..... Tescos are taking over Woolwich (not the LL site but the place) over the next couple of years. They have done a big deal with Greenwich council, and are bulding a huge store, as well as loads of housing, and some council offices. Now I see your point about MK louisa, but believe me, it will do Woolwich the world of good, the place is a bloody dump!!!

  10. What the garage? Not the same really. Don't get me wrong, I'm not desperate to see a Tesco, I'd always rather a bar. I just wanted to know why a couple of people seemed full on against it.
  11. Just head down the main road. Oh, and you might like to take a look at the cemetary which is beautiful and very old!
  12. You're probably right there.
  13. *Hit by wave of nausea* :-S

Louisa Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Street party - thank god I live a few streets away > from Upland Road or else i'd have been onto the > council about people obstructing a public highway > and causing noise pollution. And they would have told you that it was being done with council permission, and to stop bothering them. Can only people that live in that part of the street attend then? That seems a bit crap.
  15. Going back to the start of this thread, why would a Tescos have been so bad? Okay so it's not Waitrose or M&S, but for me they'd beat Sommerfield anytime! As for a Mark One, I'm quite surprised if that's true, but I bet they'd do pretty good business. Personally I'd like it to be another amusement arcade, just for the uproar... Or a Lidls!
  16. I very much doubt it if it clashes with the Arsenal or Man U games.
  17. So someone is taking bins away for a little while then bringing them home again... Hmmm :-S

  19. Damn it, why do I have to be getting married in 6 weeks :X
  20. I've only just read this thread in full (boring afternoon in the office), and a couple of points... First, Tommy, yes The Wishing Well was the pub in "Last Orders", and what a good film it is too! Now, toilet attendants... I don't mind occasionally handing over a quid for a stick of chewing gum, or a squirt of body spray. I do f**king mind feeling like I have to run out of the bog without washing my hands because I have no change!!!!! A friend's sister runs quite a flash club on Oxford Street (I think, I was drunk when I went there about 4 years ago), and she told us that the toilet attendants pay them to be there, and keep what money they make, much like a burger van pays for it's pitch at a festival. Don't know if it's the same everywhere, just thought I'd add the point.
  21. How about this for bad 80's TV!!! I actually remember liking it as a kid, then saw a repeated episode years later and couldn't work out what I'd seen in it, even as a 7 year old!
  22. Anna, you're around the same age as me (well you're a couple of years younger, but we won't go on about that). I used to LOVE Button Moon!!! Fraggle Rock is best remembered for the theme tune! Who could forget this hairy little chap (no sound on work PC, so not quite sure what you're getting here)?

  24. The Pilates teacher who does classes at St John's church hall is a qualified physio, I know this because she's a colleague.

Quaywe Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Next Victim: If you got the balls (most Londoners > don't) when he calls - say no - call the Police > and tail him until they get there. Call the police yes, but don't "tail" him, because 1. he might spot you and get nasty, and 2. the police will probably take ages, so you'll probably be tailing for a fair while. I can't believe you used the word "tail" ;-)
