  1. Not seen it yet, but good work!
  2. Have never seen the appeal of Mirash, think there are several better on LL...

Most likely it'll be the biggest group... Alas I'll miss this Friday, but they are usually nice evenings, with a nice bunch :)-D
  4. No, I agree, but the story would've been far more touching if it had been the dress that her granmother made for her mother's wedding ;-)
  5. Cool, I've just ordered myself a second hand copy :)-D

Just a suggestion, why don't you guys go along to the Gowlett on Friday for the EDF drinks. Then, if you all get on, you can arrange to have your own regular "rainbow" (?!?!?!?) drinks.... Seems to me to be the simplist way to meet other local gay people... There seem to be quite a lot of gay people in Dulwich, and from what's been said on here (on more than one occasion), there's nowhere local to go. Plus, there are probably those people who read, but don't want to post on here... So, arranging meet ups would seem to be a really nice idea. Anyway, what do I know, I'll shut up now :-$
  7. To be fair, I remember my dad and all his friends drinking in the CPT (kept well and truly in the family!!!) in the 80's, and it was quite a little community, and more like the Queen Vic sort of thing. I know my dad misses that, and he's found a couple of other "backstreet boozers" to drink in... Things were different then though, and generally men would go down the boozer a lot more, and wouldn't really get so involved in bringing up the kids. Please don't think I'm saying things shouldn't have changed, I'm just saying that as far as the pubs go, they definitely have! Also, a lot of people on here seem to think that a person who does want to go to a more old school pub for a pint, is going to be some stereotyped extra from Only fools & horses. I'd just like to say, that I love "pubs", and am not a big fan of most of the places down LL. However, I'm still pretty young, and I'm cool as f**k ;-)
  8. But whether you lived somewhere all your life or not, if it's making you that unhappy, surely you'd move...... I'm not saying you should move Louisa, but interested to know if you've considered it?

    Quiet room...

*Can't keep eyes open....* "Surely I should feel less tired after an extra day off!!!!!!!!" *Hands DM some foundation for her nose* *Sleeps*
  10. If the weather is good, and you book in advance, you can sit out back in their little yard. They only have one long table out there, so it's nice and private. They have nice plants and flower baskets out there, and it really is lovely! I was sat out there the first time my friend took me there, and it was so nice.... Maybe that's why I'm so positive on the place... Good first impressions. Have always liked it since though. Sitting outside would also sort the smelling of cooking thing ;-) I've not actually noticed it before, but it is quite a little place, so I can well believe it... Small price to pay though, you can just take you clothes to CSM dry cleaners to get them sorted ;-)
  11. EDF meet in The Castle would be hilarious! Please can it be arranged!
  12. It is a bad story, but to be honest, if Susie, 32 in marketing can afford one ?2k dress, she's obviously got more money than sense, and should just nip out and get another one. It's a bloody dress for God's sake. Sorry, but come on, who cares!
  13. Never thought of that, but a juice bar would be bloody brilliant! Theres a good one in Croydon shopping centre where I had am "apple pie" which was apple cinnamon (sp?) and oats. Was very yum!
  14. I too agree, I've mentioned this place before on here, and it deserves every recommendation it gets. Absolutely lovely people too!

    Quiet room...

*Walks in wishing I hadn't eaten bloody chicken and chips after the pub last night, and cursing the hour spent waiting by Dulwich Library for the stupid 176!* *Assures Sean that either he was talking coherently last night, or we were all too drunk to notice otherwise, so there's nothing to worry about* ;-) *Makes a nice cup of tea, and sits on DM's comfy armchair... Just until she gets here!*
  16. That doesn't surprise me, and you're right, it is sad.
  17. There's just so much love in the room I'm welling up... Come here you guys *scoops EDFers up in to big group hug* :))

*Walks in and pins note on wall saying "Sorry to the likes of Mockney for not coming and chatting to you last night... I had had far too many shots by that stage, and was scared to make the journey from where I was sitting to where you were! Oh, and BarryRoad, sorry for making you serve me drinks even though you weren't actully working!"* *Reclines lazyboy and closes eyes* B)
  20. You'll get there man, keep the faith >:D
  21. Fair play for the explanation! (tu) Just a quick note cos this has reminded me... I was impressed to find 500ml bottles of Budvar at Bar Story for ?3.
  22. I can't see a live music venue being that pretentious... :-S I for one am really excited about this, could be just what the area needs!!! Lets all get drunk and dance :)-D
  23. I thought it was a bit off not giving you credit for the photo.
