  1. Maybe she just showed him "Disrespect" :-S
  2. That's horrid. I feel this thread should be the opposite of Lounged...

*Flys in through hole in ceiling and throws DM's cake in the bin. Replacing it with huge Starbuck's blueberry cheesecake with special Amsterdam ingredient* *Nods towards DM's feet and gives thumbs up* *Thinks to self how nice it is to have come back from Amsterdam with some memories, didn't have those last time :-S *

    Crocs

I'd never seen them til I went to Australia. They're really popular over there! Mrs Keef is very fond of her bright reddy orangy pair.
  5. Happy St George's Day everyone. Although there were times this weekend when I felt thoroughly ashamed to be English! The groups on lads on stag weekends in Amsterdam were embarrassing. Was very glad my cousin lived there and took up to places the tourists don't know about! ;-)
  6. I'll join you guys some time if you're going again...
  7. The hospital should organise this on discharge. I work for Greenwich social services, and in that borough, they will complete a financial assessment to judge what contribution a person makes towards their care plan. In terms of the actual service, feedback varies. My advise would be to complain if you're not happy, and have the carer changed, as some of them do take the p!ss a bit... However, some people get on great with the carer and there are no problems, it's sort of luck of the draw. If you want to sort it for yourself, call Southwark and ask for disability care management, and they'll be able to give you a list of approved agencies. Good luck, hope all goes well!

*Assures DM I'll do my best, and hugs pal goodbye* *Waves to everyone before flying straight up through the ceiling, leaving a big hole allowing glorious sunshine to burst in to the room*
  9. Yeah, I heard her on Radio 4 talking about it.
  10. Louisiana, good call, dark, but very good!
  11. I don't know, it's a lot better getting back from Shepherds Bush after a gig than it is getting there for the gig in rush hour! Cr@p venue though!
  12. I pay ?7.50 a month on top of my normal price plan with t-mobile for unlimited use. It's really handy (tu) I'm using it to post this now.
  13. Mike, your Mun? ... If you were Irish I'd think you were talking about your bloke ;-)
  14. Er, oh yeah. Serves me right for looking at the forum on my very small mobile screen :-S
  15. It also = Tastes nice! It's also not Polly's responsibility to be fair.
  16. Cool, cheers Polly! I'll check through Mrs Keef's collection first, but if she doesn't have it, I'd be very grateful for your spare :)) Trying to think which Dicken's Mrs Keef was laughing about recently, because 2 characters who are basically sh!ts have Merde within their names!
  17. According to the BBC website, Fletcher will stand down after the last world cup match on Saturday. There's a press conference in a while were this is expected to be announced. Just hope the players will at least say sorry to him, cos while he may have made some mistakes, he can't go on the the field and play! Hope the next coach is strong enough to drop the under performers!
  18. Thing is, much as I love a lou of the classics, they all seem to ultimately stick to a pretty rigid formula, with just a few different bits between start middle and finish.
  19. Yes, but it helps to be able to move around them ;-)
  20. My other half loves a bit of Dickens..... In fact, she loves reading full stop, which is why our flat has more bookshelves than your average library!!!!!!!!! Still, at least I can always find something to read :))

*Dives in through window and carries through in to army style roll, springing straight to feet (whilst all the time carrying a tray of drinks, and not spilling a drop)* *Passes round everyone's favourite drinks, and raises glass to EDF friends* *Explains that he'll be away for the weekend in Amsterdam visiting family, and even he is not addicted enough to the forum to use web&walk from abroad........ He doesn't think :-S * *Wishes everyone a great weekend, and promises to bring back a special cake from one of the many cafes in Amsterdam* *Sits in favouite Lazyboy chair, reclines, thinks to self "I'm gonna miss these guys, they're my whole (second) life"* *Smiles as he remembers last trip to Amsterdam, and I've-met-jimmy's temporary split personality between man and heineken bottle >:D< *
  22. Mine's changed, cos I'm officially a Sydenham boy now... However, for 4 years I had to get the 12/312 to peckham, get a bus to New Cross Gate, and then get the 53 to my office in Woolwich (could have got the 177 all the way from Peckham, but you DO NOT want to be going around the one way system in Greenwich at that time!!!!). In the journey, I had kids from about 7 different schools on the buses!!!! That is HELL!!!!! Summer was the worst, cos those buses get STINKY!!! (td) These days I can get 10 minute train straight to New Cross, and skip straight to the 53 section... Only 4 or 5 schools to deal with now, lucky me :-S It is only a 45 minute journey now though (tu)
  23. The Administrator is back, and has defeated Mockney in an epic struggle for power!! >:D< *Bob* & Capt, good to see you boys sharing the love man! ;-)
  24. In the past, I've replied to a point without quoting, and by the time I'd finished, and posted the message, at least 2 other posts had been added in between, and it was unclear what the hell I was on about... For that reason I think it's useful. I do however agree that it can be used for personal attacks, which is obviously not very nice.
