    answer please

    What Rosie said.
  2. I think Radio 4 said they wouldn't be talking election on Thursday, but I could be wrong.

    Tactical Voting

Vote Green in the locals, and either Labour or Lib Dem in the general. That is what I'll be doing, but no idea yet which one to go for.
  4. To be fair to Cameron, and believe me, I hate beinf fair to the slimy git, he seems to feel quite strongly about what is happening in Afghanistan, and probably wants to sort things out. I don't think he's a war monger. He's still a git though, so don't vote for him.
  5. I'll be disappointed if my daughter hasn't had a puff by the time she's 14!

    I say no to Lib-dem

You don't like being disagreed with do you.
  7. I don't know, I'm kind of with Matt when it comes to Dentists!
  8. That is absolutely fine. It still doesn't mean they need a massive bonus on top of said pay.
  9. If Vince was the leader, I'd have no problem voting Lib Dem, as I have done in the past. My problem is that Nick Clegg come across as about as genuine as David Cameron.
  10. I thought Brown did so well last night, bu everyone saying Cameron won. I just don't know what this is based on. I think Brown's problem is that he's not great at the headline grabbing soundbites. Cameron seemed to have given up on the middle ground, and was going all out Tory. You could almost feel the contempt he has for the lower classes.
  11. Similar to "do you want chips" "No" "Are you sure you don't want chips?" "Yes, I definitely don't want chips" Food comes "Can I have a chip?" "No you f**king well can't, p!ss off!!!!"
  12. Wasn't his last fight (one before Kessler) in the UK? I think they should call his bluff, and if he leaves the tournament, he never breaks America, and looses a potential shot at getting one or more belts. Yeah, good thinking Carl.
  13. It's brought a tear to my eye once or twice over the years.
  14. Alas, I am making very slow progress with my work, so no chance of getting out today. Shame, the weather is looking nice.
  15. Came from a great film too, and the 18 year old me had a huge crush on Claire Danes' Juliet! http://www.the-reel-mccoy.com/movies/1996/images/juliet1.jpg
  16. See if the wife fancies a bunk up, if not, go and check out the bar.
  17. I got a telly via the forum (thanks Pickle), but felt I should take a bottle of wine as a thank you. Seems weird just taking a telly from someone I don't know, without offering something back.
  18. Indeed! However Just hold your hands up, admit you got beat, then come back. I hate all these excuses, it's like football managers constantly going on about ref decisions, rather than admitting that they were outplayed. I'm gutted I never got to watch it, as it sounds like it was a good tear up!
  19. Our band need a good live recording, so was wondering if either Iaineasy, or anyone else may be able to help us out? Of course we wouldn't expect it for free, and would agree a fee. Anyone able to help out? We have a private gig at the start of July, at The Rivoli Ballrooms in Brockley, which we think would be an ideal one for recording, so any ideas welcome.
  20. For you darling, anytime :)-D
  21. Next time I see you Moos, I'll make a point of striking up a conversation with your chest, just to make you feel young and wanted again. I know you girls love it really! ;-)
  22. My Irish friends at Uni were well in to Paddy's day, but then again, they were well in to singing rebel songs, and generally acting like bomb throwers. Aaaanyway, Scot's don't really bother with St Andrew's day, it's all about Burns night for them (or so my Scottish colleague tells me). Paddy's day is nothing but a huge marketing triumph for Guinness, with slogans like "Only one Paddy's day, 364 practice days" and stuff like that. If it wasn't for Guiness, I doubt anyone would know when Paddy's day was. I know there is all the stuff about the flag, and skin heads, and all that stuf these days, allowing the likes of Quids to scream "bleeding heart liberals", but seriously, was St George's day well celebrated in bygone days? I don't ever remember it as a kid, in fact, I don't think I knew there was a St George's day until I was an adult. Anyway, as I say, it's all about marketing, but who do you aim your marketing at in a society like this?
  23. I'd try and park somewhere around the back of Addy & Stanhope school (more or less opposite the end of the high st that you want). Map to Wavelengths for afoster.

    Newbie

    Beer festivals?
  25. Yeah, Jeff Beck is most certainly one of the greatest, and you're right, he probably doesn't get the credit he deserves. My point though is that there are probably people out there who are just as good, or better, who we'll never hear of. Slash is still my favourite though ;-)
