to be honest it's too frantic to work out who's who. You just hope to get someone in your sights before you get killed. Judging by my very consistent 0.82 kill/death ratio that has yet to be the case (though have managed a 23/5 before which was nice). And you are guaranteed never to see them again as there's 6 million people playing it, generally about 400,000 at any one time. Seriously keef, the one player (ooh, get CoD 4 off sean, as i don't think he ever plays it) is about 6 hours, so far i've managed about 19 hours in multiplayer.

I hve nothing against the PS3 at all, I too owned the previous two, every nintendo machine ever offered, megadrive, even an atari lynx!! I just have nothing pushing or pulling me to buy one, my xbox still works and the quality of game remains largely indistinguishable and the one PS3 I played on didn't work. It would be fanhoyism if is said 'sony sucks cocks' or something. It doesn't, I refer you to my first advice that said there's really nothing on it so see which games you want. MW2 is of course cross platform (well multi platform) so not a deal breaker. Plus it would be remiss of me not to mention the possibility of RRoD on the xbox, which I, like every other owner, suffered from.

No way!!! Will there be an AFC Pompey then? With the support they'll have they should rise through the ranks quickly surely? That's really really bad news for footie. Gutted for you (genuinely, not just because we might be next)

As my the little one sill have a Spanish surname an Irish first name is non negotiable it would seem. I like Rory, apart from being a good solid name, because a)it's also Scottish where my mums side are from and b)people can spell it. Girls names not so good, Briony (I've some welsh a little ways back) was rejected so only unspellable ones remain. Aoife and Niamh are front runners. I reckon if the former I'm going to register her as Eva in her Spanish passport. If the english struggle, Spaniards REALLY will not get it!! Anyhow, big congrats again.

I've only played on one and it didn't seem to work much of the time. Yes sean, you beat me to it, was going to post it up for you as Im sure we're the only ones who bother to watch them. it was him back to best form though. His Assassins Creed 2 review was very good too.

Greatest Sporting Achievement of the Decade...

Yaay a real word!! A proponent is proponing when he propones. From Latin proponere, to set forth. -
Actually latest study shows youth obesity levels levelling out. It could be that this government has actually managed to do something right for once! Or maybe it was that Jamie Oliver fella.

I thought about tiger woods. If he comes back from this and goes on to more majors then as a career acievement he will definitely be one of the greats. He has had loss of form and injury this decade and thus federer is the greater (for me) for whom loss of form is generally losing in a final!! Plus the fact that he just can't be bothered in a Ryder cup which is the only golf I watch. (can you tell I'm more of a team sport kind of guy) Declan, proponing is the gerund, or act of, being a proponent of something, however I suspect I made it up. -
I think bedheqd and greasy hair is commonly achieved with expensive nonsense from l'oreal. Seriously though this is a very silly debate ;-)

Greatest Sporting Achievement of the Decade...

Ooh. Federer up there for sure. I would do it vociferously in a subjective fashion if tennis didn't bore me senseless. Arsenal's unbeaten season whilst proponing (?) the beautiful game might pip it. Ageing Irishmen who had missed their moment achieving the grand slam down to the last kick of the tournament may not rank as the greatest but is surely iconic. As boring as it may have been, unfashionable and unfancied Greece winning the Euros is a helluvan achievement. -
Most amusing I'm sure, though in all fairness I do remeber not being able to feel my fingers and toes on firework night and it's been a good decade since that happened. In 2003 I wore a t-shirt!! But it's not the little events it's the big trends and of course global warming could certainly mean some places get colder, climates weird like that. Toronto's on the same latitude as Cannes or N California for instance yet regularly plummets into the minus teens and usually expects snow in the feet not inches. Weird huh.

Best things ever sold/offered in the EDF classifieds...
mockney piers replied to ????'s topic in The Lounge
I'm pretty sure that's not true bob. I was under the impression it was all a thinly disguised dogging site. Television means a watcher, speakers means a doer (mono speaker obviously for a one man/woman show). Wattage or screen size denotes a time and the brand the place, aiwa is Peckham rye, bang &olufsen dulwich park etc. -

Is that like a naughty step? -
I think we can safely assume that oscar Wilde probably wasn't a Reading fan. Paris St Germain perhaps?

It's just marking the hundredth post in a thread with the post: 100 a strange obsession of quids' that is strangely catching.

...is a perfect description. If you hit him once and his heart stopped noone would send you to jail. If he's left your house you got yourbmates together and you found him and clubbed his head with a weapon until it split(head or weapon, same place legally no doubt), amazingly you're going to jail. Still amazed there is a discussion going on. Well, that isn't concerned with gaming.
-
To be honest I don't know but 'room mates' feels better. Hmm hope that's not an advertising slogan soon!! Ok more to follow.

I'm pretty sire Emily Br?nte's dead isn't she. I can't belive she was a man city fan. I always had her down for Beverle FC
-
Simon got it. OK a little trickier and very Private eye. They might sleep together using 'Latitude' condoms (4-5)
-
Yep I'm sure he was but I'd got all depressed by the meanspiritdness on display in the main thread by that point.
