  1. is that gordon ramsey?
  2. No but *Bob* has a point. I only ever ate Mir?, but lets face it, everybody has eaten that and it makes me feel a bit ill, so i nibbled on some banksy, bute's a brizzle cunt obviously, so i make do with nibbling the corners of Rembrandts in Capability's gardens. All shit I grant you, but you know, better than listening to girls aloud or the fall.
  3. so what's all this i read about gridding wind and solar from the sahara where its basically on tap. Never thought of it before, or horribly impracticable?
  4. all good, and very nice. Perhaps not on a tuesday next time as nothing opens late :-/
  5. here's a picture of keef, just to help track everyone down
  6. Oh dear god, really? blimey. will be buying it in time, you can have it once i'm done. Keep your save games safe!!
  7. Just to say how good arma II is again. Absurdly immersive, just look at the graphics, listen to the sounds. You can even get a little add in that t tracks your head movements so you can look around as you run drive or fly. You can basically be, drive or fly everything you see (yes even the chicken or goat). First film is a slghtly pretentious short but shows off the engine very well. Second was a scenario put together using the editor in about five minutes showing off just how vast it can be (the playing area is 200 sq miles). Anyway, enjoy if you like that kind of thing (I know sean doesn't) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ePrwLMi1fyQ ? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8KK6Fo3Y0AU ? ?
  8. "Members of the Evangelical Alliance council were alarmed by his fundraising methods, particularly when he allegedly linked the level of donors? contributions to his own ministry with the extent of God?s blessing on the donors? lives. The concern was about ?the suggestion of so automatic an equation between material offering and divine favour?." I gather the time honoured response to this is to nail your complaints at the sale of these indulgences to the burch door. I'm with woof all the way on this one, posh cinema showing back to back Eisenstein, Bergman and Dodgeball.
  9. We had a goal against Wigan disallowed by 1 second :(
  10. Cool, not that it needs parodying wooden choreography
  11. He even made thought for the day yesterday!! Agreed, sport is going through something of a crisis atgthe moment and he was all that was good about a better side the true meaning of sporting.
  12. It exists in the culture novels. You just back yourself up every now and then and if you die you have an identical body grown and you have your backup popped in, all you've lost are me ories and experiences since your last backup. Makes dramtic tension difficult when all that's at stake is the last 45 minutes of kirks wooden script delivery I suppose.
  13. We all like to think our club is the best in the world, even I do, but objectively three domestic and a European title in three years does stand man u in good stead for SP's claim. Oh sorry what was I thinking, lost my mind momentarily...best club in the country, what like that ghost pooh I had this morning was the best turd in the world, your mom etc ad infinitum
  14. Plus teleporting. If you're making a new version from a recorded version using all the same atoms as the old one. Can't you just bu the poor dead red shirted fella in one end and having a living version out the other from their buffers or whatever they call them?
  15. Things not to say by the replicator - "new uniform please, ooh I think a nice red one today"
  16. I'll pop along, probably for about 8 o'clock if that sounds alright. Mine's a G&T as please quids :)
  17. I think Steve may have been Reading all those 'City sheds N jobs' as cumulative figures rather than a very shirt term cyclical effect of: knee jerk cost cut -> recruitment freeze -> everyone complains -> freeze circumvented bit by bit via contractors -> cost needs cutting make them permy -> poor performaces too many employees -> knee jerk cost cut ... Jbs really only get reduced during mergers etc. Ignore the rest.
  18. what was the result. kerry v cork I take it we're talking football? (weirdly named as they spend most of their time carrying it but hey ;))
  19. Well young Tomkins has great potential but was taught a lesson yesterday, he'll improve. Our defence was pretty good on the whole but did make some key and occasionally schoolboy errors, but Liverpool's looked pretty exposed in the first half too. It's not easy when you've had to sell one of your best defenders because you're financially fucked and then your best defender and captain comes off, but hey that's football. I thought Johnson looked great by the way, real class.
  20. Here's a nice one, The Book with Jose Gonsalez doing Nick Drake's Cello Song. A few will know it from the Dark Was The Night chariddy compilation.
  21. Wolfie has a point about Dobbie though!!!
  22. Aah well. Disappointing result in a very competitive game. Not bad for 'long ball' west ham against the scientists of footie or whatever. Worse still tfl decided to close all the stations nearby so had a vey glum two mile stroll all the way to the jubilee line. Ho hum. If we carry on with performances like that and can avoid injuries (we lost upson and the returning behrami early on and cole was clearly fucked for the last half hour) then we wont be in a relegation fight.
  23. he he cool 2156 i can see another 59p being spent.
  24. Ay I'll be there thanks to the lovely Anna and her mate's daft ability to buy a ticket in the wrong bit :) I mean, its tiny and made of lego, how hard can it be?
