  1. the iphones pretty goof but domt ecxpect to be able to ty[e on the damthing!!!!
  2. Oh, and torture just wrong. Just sick sadism, not only beneath us, but beneath contempt. Drug dealers are bad, but you advocate getting those who uphold the law to perform sick acts? No, no and thrice nay.
  3. Japan had made surrender overtures, America rejected them demanding unconditional surrender, dropped two bombs, Japan offered conditional surrender, America accepted. Seems to me it was about showing everyone (well, the Russians who had ploughed through the Japanese forces on the newly opened eastern (their eastern, not Germany's obviously) front) who was the most powerful country in the world with the ultimate weapon and using a bomb that had cost billions even back then to produce, than some dubious nonsense about stopping the war early.
  4. Almost certainly me. You don't need particularly fat fat-fingers to do damage when you're forced to view forum via an iPhone (you may have spotted me whingeing about this) I have reinstated said posts.
  5. There is an entire profession and branch of government aimed at clarifying the rather indistinct grey areas you describe JTT, forgive me if I'd rather leave my trust in their abilities than your good self, eminently qualified though you appear.
  6. I'd say about 95% of my friends have been 'drug dealers' at some point in their lives. They're all school teachers, charity workers, lawyers, civil servants, parents and fine upstanding people who have contributed hugely to society and not really done it any harm. You'd have had them locked up for life, killed, limbs lopped off or just driven out of town along with the paedos?
  7. Ha ha, spot on D_C!!!
  8. seriously. far too high brow for me. And no, it wasn't porn either.
  9. Lo siento pero no.
  10. Totally second that Keef. Missus mockney and I had more laugh out loud moments than in any film for a long old while. Razor sharp wit, great swearing and as you saying, depressingly believable.
  11. Ooh, have to have *Bob* ca[taining a team on that surely!! Ted Max for compere and perhaps Honaloochhie as the other team captain?
  12. A mere farmer by vocation, i was thrust by events into a war that pits father against son, and led two decisive battles to bring about victory. I may also have unwittingly had inappropriate thoughts regards my sister.
  13. Sorry, was at cinema. I'm hoping I didn't accidentally hit hide post on my fiddly iphone at work, so am reinstating them (i'm pretty sure I didn't, you have to confirm it and everything).
  14. Perhaps we could get the Beeb to get him over here on expenses to provide interesting programming, simultaneously proving both he and Allfornun right in ine fell swoop. Do you think Auntie would be interested in a series of home spun mini Question Times?
  15. Napoleon dynamite.
  16. I know what you mean. Henry Winter's my favourite...but...the telegraph? (mind you, nice vanilla cryptic crossword there too)
  17. benjaminty, it's genius! Cheers :)
  18. The Independent is a decent enough paper and the comments are utterly hideous. I think it's just people.
  19. James Lawton in miserable sod about something shock.
  20. Edited, hope it makes more sense
  21. Google, wikipedia?!?!? Memory dear boy, dome of us paid attention at Keele you know.
  22. Ha ha. Immigrants in do good things for the nation shock (though they didn't think that abiut gin at the time mind)
  23. Andy pandy?
  24. On the subject of flag waving, it doesn't cause bnp type fascism, it's latched on to by those cunts. They have no claim to 'we'll fight them ok the beaches' they are the very people we were fighting. For my part flags symbolize the oppression, abuse and wholesale slaughter of the Millions of people who have followed those flags to their deaths in the name of jingoism, patriotism and ultimately the dubious imperial goals of the elites WW1 wasn't just I'd even justifiable, it as murder and a crime against humanity.
  25. Gallinello, a few monor points. Hapsburgs, Spain total dominance of Europe and the Americas (an empire that took 400 years to peter out, double the length of Britain's, the ottomans, the russians & soviets, all empires that can hardly be described as piecemeal and arguably more pervasive. Britain may have Been bigger (mind you Canada and Australia are full of a lot of nothing) and wealthiest but hardly the most pervasive, it's peak lasting about fifty years. Perhaps you are conflating the empires influence with that of the industrial and agricultural revolutions with much greater Legacies and influence. Also the last time we were conquered was 1688, just because the winners were canny at writing the history books, don't fall for the propoganda of the 'glorious revolution' it was an invasion by a dutch prince deposing the legitimate, if odious and rather unpopular monarch of the day, who wanted his mitts on our wealth to pursue a continental agenda not in our favour at all.
