  1. As I have posted on the other thread, Helen Hayes (MP) has already made a complaint to OfCom. I also posted a long letter from her on the other thread regarding what she has already done, and what she is doing, about this. It does seem a bit pointless to have two threads running on the same subject (Admin????)

She has already visited the sorting office, and subsequently made a complaint to OfCom.

  6. If you look at the small (er) ads in the back of some "Home" magazines, there are often places advertising which have designer fabrics at a discounted price. Or there used to be ..... I've just looked through a pile of recent Elle Decoration mags, and I can't see any .... However, if you google "Discount fabrics uk" a whole load of stuff comes up, online sellers plus actual warehouses where you can go and look. Those warehouses have a quick turnover for the good stuff though, so you might have to go a few times before you found something to your taste. ETA: There are also a number of fabric places in Berwick Street, which although it is not the place it used to be still does have some bargains, depending on what you like. Whether they have survived the pandemic is another question though.

Foal Farm is indeed a very good cause, so it would be great if you could give a donation in return for photographing their white rabbits :)

  12. Do you have a sympathetic GP? Could they help make a case to Hyde for you?

  15. Apparently only 10% of frogspawn survives to become frogs, which is why so much is laid (just as well as otherwise the world would mainly consist of frogs).

Surely not because we are in lockdown and people are asked to make essential journeys only, but the buses still have to run? No, that would be a stupid reason for so few people on the buses .... 🙄

The nephew I knew > (Paul) lived in Brighton (or Hove actually) My ex was a scriptwriter and had a play on Radio 4 which Bill Oddie was in. I went to the recording, which was how I met him. Bill Oddie, not my ex. I met my ex on a 176 bus 🤣 Back to nature. Despite my best endeavours to protect it, I think something has eaten most of "my" frogspawn. FrogLife says you shouldn't net ponds as predators may get caught in the netting. I had rigged up a load of sticks over my sink, which don't seem to be disturbed, so I assume it must be birds. Ironically, as I have gone to great efforts to attract birds to my garden, but the frogspawn wasn't one of them 😭

  20. With Avro I just send meter readings via their website. It's quick and easy. They periodically send me an email asking for the readings. Occasionally (as I imagine with all companies unless you have a smart meter) they send an actual person round to make sure you aren't swindling them 🤣 I didn't want the last one coming into my house (Covid) so he just asked me for the readings. I must have an honest face 🤣
  21. There is a post below re a "beautiful" earring found in Dulwich Park?
