We were with a group of people (including Helen Hayes) who joined the march at Green Park (he park, not the tube station) having started at Victoria. There was a bottleneck of people trying to get out of Green Park into Piccadilly. We got down to the screen in the Mall but couldn't get much further due to the crowds, so never got as far as Parliament Square. And yes, there was no trouble at all, it was a really good natured and lovely day, we met some lovely people, including people who had come a really long way (felt a bit bad we just had quite a short journey there!) -

Surely there must be some objective independent estimate? -

Postie knocked today to deliver a package. I was expecting one, so I signed for it. Belatedly checked the address. It was for Lucas Bakery. Same house number, different road. Had a conversation with postie. Ended amicably when he agreed I might have good reason to suspect my "missing" post might have been misdelivered. Shortly afterwards I went out. Passed postie taking a picture of some shelving outside a house in my street (but inside their boundary wall). He said to me something along the lines of "If they don't want that, I'm having it" So if you're in the North Cross Road area and your shelves have gone missing, ask your postie .... -
I'm moving my broadband from BT as soon as my contract ends. Never again.

I can join the sofa resolutions brigade :) I helped my brother shoehorn a sofa through a ground floor window into his living room. My own sofa came in two halves (thirty years ago and still going strong. Ish) Good luck with it all!

The food is awful. I wouldn't bother.

I went a few years back in order to take advantage of an offer on the kitchen I wanted, can't remember the exact circumstances now. But I found the rest of the exhibition so depressing :(

Because all this time on, people still don't seem to realise what it will actually mean in practice, and how it will affect them and their families. ETA: Mainly because nobody has told them. Still. So far as I can see.

I've found Plusnet good in the past, with very helpful customer service. Maybe look at the moneysavingexpert website? It usually has good recommendations, with the best current deals and also customer service ratings.

I remember I once called my brother, he answered "Hello Sue", and I said "How did you know it was me?" And someone telling me how useful texting was (I'd never heard of it) and asking bwhy the person didn't just phone. Oh, and emails. Asking why people couldn't just write a letter. Total Luddite. I saw the light eventually :))

But on the > EDF you can both be a pain Sorry. I asked what I thought was a reasonable question (as I didn't think the OP was trolling) and it kicked off from there. I clearly get wound up too easily. I will try not to do it again. Sorry if I've been a pain.

Lordship Lane is a main road and a bus route. I can't quite see how the council or anybody else could do anything about the traffic? ETA: When you say there is a "defect" in the road, what do you mean? A bump? ETA: And if you think buses are breaking the speed limit, you would probably need details of the specific buses, which wouldn't be very easy to get I imagine if you are inside your house. Though probably worth asking TfL anyway just in case they can do something.

People can draw their own conclusions from your posts (in two forum names) and mine (in the same name for oh, maybe a decade or more). All they have to do is click on our names. Assuming your previous name of Louisa is still available to be clicked on. Many people on here know me in real life. I'm getting quite tired of this.

Ignore her. She has already been banned once. ETA: Sorry I may be mistaken. Flounced off the forum once.
