Annette Curtain, that's really offensive. Seriously. Can you delete it please, otherwise I will ask for it to be deleted.

But this thread is about Lordship Lane! And there's also a great bookshop actually on Lordship Lane - Chener's, at the Goose Green end! The people in Chener's are always very helpful if you're trying to find a particular book.

How did they get into the house? -

Oh dear Oh dear. The crushed and devalued syndrome strikes again......

I used to get very sea sick, and with these everybody else was heaving except for me :)

DulwichFox Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > > Tonight they are out and about again... > xxxxxxxx Are these the people who were ringing doorbells but not staying at the door? As it was dark, I went to the door but called out "Who is it?", to which there was no answer. When I looked out of the window, I saw two? Three? people hovering about further down the street, with tabards on. Lucky escape.

Fair enough, I clearly know nothing at all about the habits of kittens! I hope you find them, Deptford Diva.

If you do 1471 and there is an actual number, you can google it to see who it is. That is how I found out that Eon keep phoning me, presumably to try to get me to go back with them. It's all got so bad I've started not answering the phone. If it's somebody I know, or a genuine call, they won't hang up as soon as the answering machine cuts in.

Pinky, had you considered not seeing him for a bit to see if that brings up any other feelings for you?

Pinky82 Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > My feelings are that I have no trust in him at > all, therefore there is no need to carry on the > relationship, xxxxxxx Is there any reason why you are not trusting your own feelings in this? I have had dealings with liars - luckily in a different context - and, like you, it got to the point where I started checking out what they were saying, and finding clear evidence that it wasn't true. Yes there are obviously psychological reasons why he is doing this, an illness if you like to label it as that, but if after so long with him he is still doing it, then I do wonder why you want to stay with him given your gut feelings. Sometimes we can be deeply in love with somebody but a relationship with them just isn't going to work. ETA: And turning things around to make any issues your fault rather than his is also classic.

Well, it's certainly more lyrical than the late lamented "Rim World", a hat shop also on Walworth Road. It's still there, but now known as "Hat World". Bus journeys in that direction are much the poorer :))

People who have been living in ED as long as me (twenty years on and off) and around the Crystal Palace Road area may remember that fireworks used to be let off at midnight every week - I think it was on a Saturday night. I never found out where they were coming from, and there wasn't an ED Forum in those days. I assumed it was from one of the local pubs. So think yourselves lucky, people, that it's now only a relatively few nights a year :)
