Can we have a bikini line waxing thread please ,just so that I can replace that frightening image with something else.
  6. You're not as think as you old you are. Have a good one:)-D
  7. Is one an Audi, TT?
  8. For me, appropriately enough is Heatwave's 'Happiness, Togetherness'
  9. Ahhhh! I never knew you cared Nero!
  10. tired (after just realising this is my 1,112th post!)
  11. Where is the romance? So do you not celebrate Christmas, Anniversaries and Birthdays because Hallmark sell cards? Surely the day is what YOU make it and you don't need to be a slave to commerc1alism in order to enjoy the sentiment? Agree that the worst time to go out for dinner or plan a weekend away has got to be around Valentines Day. Agree that there's nothing more cheesy than a box of choc's and a bouquet of over priced roses. Agree that you shouldn't leave it to one day a year to show your love. But to make a little effort to do something personal and meaningful without bowing to the demands of consumerism is really not that difficult. Just takes a little imagination, some creativity and a liberal amount of love. Enjoy the day and make somebody (partber or not) smile FFS! Like KK says, 'Feel the love, man.' Love and kisses xxx
  12. Just like congestion zones a cpz just shifts the problem onto someone else's doorstep. Residents pay for the privilege to park closer to their front door plus the cost of their friends and tradesmen. Then next thing you know you'll be charged based on the cc of your car whereas everyone else retains freedom of choice. The LL economy will suffer because it's easier to park in Sainsbury's and next thing you know we'll be just another clone. The only real winner will be the council and extra funding for some dubious research expenses.
  13. Is the tree on the right the one that used to be in the Car Park then? Ah! Just realised the clapperboard building is Le Moulin. Nothing's changed then.
  14. Yes I think you are right Macroban. However The Plough (current building) was built in 1865 so that probably isn't it in the background.
  15. Judging by the shadows I would say this was photographed at 11.37 am on Goodrich Rd. If it were Barry Rd it would line up with the tower.
  16. "I don't think you should drive home tonight." Advice given to me upon regaining consciousness, after falling down a flight of concrete steps high on substances and alcohol.
  17. Keef you should visit the real KGB museum in Lubyanka, Moscow. The British Secret Service are portrayed as incompetent, poorly trained, bumbling idiots. Now that is really unfair.
  18. I suppose if you visit a Native American museum in the mid west, you can expect to see the early colonists portrayed as pioneers opening up a brave new world whilst gently spreading the word of Jesus and teaching the benefits of real civilization.
  19. LOL. No it's true. They're busy doing a bit of research on Lordship Lane. They're asking residents whether parents should pay a 'Bugaboo' congestion charge.
  20. How? Bit difficult to smuggle out under your T shirt?
  21. Dulwichflower, my one bit of advice would be to ensure that you have a bit of financial security in place before embarking on a new career. Think of the time it will take to be up and running and see if you have enough to cover your out goings during that period. It's a brave decision you're making and I wish you all the best. If you want some freelance floristry advice you can call a friend of mine Hellen Main Ellen who's experienced what you're thinking of.
  22. It's not all that bad. You may remember I posted a while ago that I dropped my wallet around the notorious Northcross Rd frontline and was truly grateful when some kindred spirit posted it through my letter box later that day. Must have been a day tripper from Chiswick. Isn't Neighbourhood Watch replaced by Safer Neighbourhoods? Less chance of being mugged but more likely to have your Littlewoods Direct delivery pinched? We need armed posties.
  23. I think some of you are misreading Louisa's post. Personally I think Group 4 should deliver my Abel and Cole box.
  24. Gerry, you've been unlucky to get a fine. I've had a few taps on the shoulder but never been issued with a ticket. Has this experience changed your future seat belt wearing practice? Atila, isn't this just another example of the nanny state?
  25. Whatever the results how do we know that the opinions canvassed won't be presented in such a way that allows CPZ to be introduced as another nice little revenue earner.
